As a frequent patron of this Iron Born location, I was disappointed with my last visit. It felt like a pizza made out of... obligation rather than love. I ordered about an hour before close, but what I received suggested that everyone had alreadychecked out. It lacked sauce. It lacked love. I would appreciate a refund or pizza on the house because, as a frequent patron,I?d like a reason to come back; otherwise, this pizza deserves a refund, and this location deserves this review, including thenumber of stars adjoining it. A friend ordered this for me from ubereats its was???? so I decided to go there and pickup for the Steelers game was not the... same experience ubereats my pizza came hot like ot was fresh out the oven when I picked it up my pizza was cold it was sittingon other pizza boxes not the oven then I ordered 2 pepperoni w/extra sauce 1 w/ extra cheese no extra cheese your can tell bythe pics their identical but I was charged for the cheese the buffalo chicken pizza would be 5 stars but it just needs a littlebit more chicken a couple pieces had no chicken at all not sure if I'll be going back Read more
It's very delicious pizza. Crust, sauce, toppings all delicious. The pizzas aren't huge. 3 of us shared one and it was... *enough* food but we all could've eaten more. For me it would be a once-in-a-while splurge to get a pizza from here. It waseasy to order online, and they give quite a window for when it will be ready but then text you when it's ready. So I'd saypicking it up only makes sense if you live close, or it's only a few minutes' walk from Grist House, so it's perfect to get yourfirst beers at Grist House and order the pizza, then walk up to get your pizza when they send you the text that it's ready. I have never had Detroit style pizza, or even deep dish for that matter, but this is really good pizza! I order delivery today... via UberEats and it arrived within a reasonable amount of time. The order consisted of a forager pie and a cannoli. I must say,I'm not usually a fan of thicker crust pizzas. Normally, I prefer a thin and crunchy pie. However, the forager pie made mereconsider this opinion. The bottom is crispy and buttery. The edges are cheesy and crispy as well. Soo good! And, the baseitself is like a delicious, fluffy focaccia bread. The toppings are plentiful, too. Honey is subtle and not overpowering, but agreat touch. Love the ricotta and the high quality herbs. Mushrooms are well cooked, but I would have liked more of them. Thecannoli was only $2 and it was quite large. A little bit soggy, but the inside was creamy and subtly sweet. Quite good! A bit ofzest to it. If I was being picky, the price for the pizza is a little expensive given the size. However, it is much higherquality than the competition, which makes up for the smaller portions in my opinion. All in all, this is a great introductionto deep dish or Detroit style pizza. This pizza was incredible. It was my first time so I didn?t know what to expect but the foragers pizza was fantastic! They do... not skimp on the ingredients at all. The ricotta was incredibly creamy and delicious. The mushrooms were well-cooked. The crustwas cheesy and crunchy. It was incredibly delicious and I enjoyed every bite. Cannot wait to try another one! I?ve been wanting for a year or so, I was so looking forward to this. The garlic pull apart was so dry over cooked and the pizza... was over cooked. Decent flavor, the crust had some buttery ness but all way to dry. I was generous and gave a 3 because I thinkit can be better. Read more
