I used to hang at this pub in the 90s. I recently stopped by and I love the" unique gummy worm "mixed drink selection there... were so many delicious combinations to choose from and very fair prices. The staff were very friendly. Great clean atmospherebut the ladies bathroom is still too tiny. My friend loved the fish taco. Super crowed before an event...so only drinks were available. Service was slow but this could be explained by the volume. This... is truly a staple in Oakland and one of the last true college bars. It has been there for decades and for good reasons. Food isgenerally quality bar food and the prices on drinks are great. Read more

Crazy college bar with always tons of action. The drinks are stupid cheap (as a college bar). Classic printed, no frills drink... menus. You can also buy white claws and other cheap canned drinks. The group behind us was screaming so loud we couldn?t heareach other. So, people watching is a funny activity here. Come on Halloween to see some crazy costumes as well. I really like this place. Recently discovered. Its a college friendly place for sure. With some pretty good food and drinks.... Thursday nights they have a long island special pictured below with the gummy worms for $4!!! They are so good. But be carefulthey can be dangerous also ! I love absolutely everything about hems- the pitchers are amazing and the food is fantastic. Only complaint is the chip to dip... ratio!! There are never enough chips to finish the dip :(( Read more
