I can't believe I waited so long to try El Sabor! El Sabor is a great Mexican/ Latin restaurant with a really nice menu,... delicious authentic food, and great margaritas. The atmosphere is chill and the staff are great! This is definitely a newfavorite place of mine. We tried the shrimp tacos -Tijuana style (they also have the option of Pittsburgh style). We also hasthe taquitos appetizer which included both chicken and beef taquitos, salsa (very spicy & yummy btw), guac and queso fordipping. The special was a chicken tamale. The menu boasted to try the tamales while they last and I recommend you do so too! Read more
Excellent nachos. Good prices. My waitress was a lovely young woman with a heart of gold who befriended every customer,... including me. Thank you for serving me when I walked in as the last customer of the night! I will return, hopefully theexcellent staff are still here. Read more
Had lunch with family here and everybody was very happy with their meals. The Tijuana style tacos were amazing, light and... fresh. And the Baja burrito I had was everything I hoped it would be. First time eating yuca, enjoyed that as well! The staffwas very friendly and attentive, a few of the prices seemed a little steep but I think that's the case everywhere anymore. Read more

Wow. Ate lunch at El Sabor Latin Kitchen ! Seriously one of the best meals I?ve had in Pittsburgh. They have a veggie and tofu... vegan option for tacos and other things. I?m not big on fake cheese but they do have vegan nachos? And because of how goodeverything I it was I would be willing to try those two. I also had the tortilla soup which was great. But the tacos and salsawere above and beyond. Just as I was about to leave I was complementing one of the owners he apologized because he had forgottento offer me the vegan dessert option? Pineapple cake. I?m dead i?m dying. I had it in a to go container and had to call them tomake sure it was vegan because it was so lush and delicious. One of the owners brother-in-law is vegan and has been coachingthem through recipes. The beans are vegan but the rice is not? Yet!. They seem very open to evolution over time and getting morevegan options. They are across and down the street from the Children?s Hospital. I remember the place that is now El Sabor being empty and abandoned for over a decade since I've lived in Pittsburgh, apparently... changing owners several times. Well, the current owners did a phenomenal job with the space and the food as well as the servicedid not disappoint! I'm glad El Sabor is here and I will definitely be back. Read more
Great Mexican/Latin American food. We actually tried this through a groupon and it was well worth it. The steak chimichanga... with delicious, and a case of sauce on top was one of the best I've had. I mixed it with a spicy salsa that we had earlier withsome chips, it turned out to be a good mix. I was a fan of the side salad, one of the best dressings I've had in a while. Ibelieve it was cilantro lime. On our last trip we were with children, so no alcohol. However, they do have some interestingcocktails listed on their menu. We will definitely be back. Be aware that parking can be somewhat difficult so close to thehospital. Read more
