Reviews for Butterjoint in Pittsburgh, PA
The overall restaurant and service at Butterjoint were inviting. We were seated in the art installation room. I have attached a... picture. They are drawing different peoples animals on the walls. The host and server were excellent and very personable. I gavethis 3 stars because the food was underwhelming and just blah. The goat cheese and nettle quiche was very well done on theoutside. The inside was okay. The home fries that were really just skinless potato’s were cold and not crispy. (We asked forextra crispy.) I was surprised the coffee wasn’t drip coffee or even that strong or tasty for such a hip upscale place. Thecucumber salad was tasty. The bacon was also fine. Read more

We had a fantastic dinner experience. We sat in the bar area as we arrived before 5 and the dining room wasn’t open yet. The... atmosphere was lovely…low lights, lots of wood and a nice bar. We split a variety of tapas. Our favorites were the sauerkrautballs, pirogies, and the chocolate ganache cake. The cake was decadent, but light and not too filling. We would definitelyreturn and try a few different things. Don’t miss this gem! Read more

Speakeasy vibe with candle-lit mood lighting and a mix of “I know this song” to “energetic background music” subtlety... playing. Both the Fancy burger and the Cheeseburger were all I could ever ask for in a top-notch burger. The fries are rustic, crispy, and divine with a buttery garlic aioli. Legit as ish cocktails at a price so good that after we closed out we stayedfor another round because, dang, they can make a great whiskey sour (w/ egg whites), whiskey smash, old fashioned, or you nameit. Keith (waiter) and Dylan (bartender) were attentive all night, crafting creative “tell me what kind of drinks you like”cocktails and making sure our glasses were never empty. Excellent service to further highlight the quality you’ll findhere. We wish we had discovered this place years ago, but we are thankful we’ve found it now. Check it out! Read more

If I could give this place a 6/5 I would! The service here was outstanding. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the dishes... and even sources of the ingredients. The food was out of this world good! I would have no problem making a meal out of theirappetizers which were so incredibly well done! The dinner salad has a little bit of everything in it and is quite filling. Thedrink menu is quite extensive as well with inventive cocktails that are sure to please any palate. Dessert is phenomenal withone of the best pie crusts I’ve ever had in 29 years of living! Highly highly recommend this place! Read more
This place was on the list of Pittsburgh's best pierogi places. They were good, the texture was nice and soft, as was the... filling, I just didn't find them super flavorful or impressive. Good, but not amazing. The service was very friendly. we likedDorothy 6 pierogies much better. Read more
