I'm so sad to give this place a low review given the photos and praise it has on Google. We ordered takeout for Taco Tuesday and... got the Fat Vegan (Red Curry), Fried Shrimp Tacos, and Zucchini Chips. We must have come in on an off night. The portions weresmall, the Broccoli in the curry was raw, and the Zucchini Chips were soggy. Tried the Shrimp and Chicken Tacos which were excellent! The fresh cilantro and spicy sauce gave the mouthwatering flavor had me... looking forward to next Tuesday. We tried the chicken on a stick, the great beyond and the chips and dip and were blown away. The flavors and the side sauces... were both amazing and for $10 it definitely could?ve fed us both twice but we couldn?t stop eating. The owner was super nice andwelcoming too. Man. I went in about 8 pm and they were out of lobster tails, but we decided to do the crab cakes instead. Let me... begin... Crab cakes with actual crab on the inside. (Don?t flex bcz we all know places that use more breadcrumb than lumpmeat). Super hot and delicious. And the sauce they pair them with whoa! ???? best $8 I?ve spent. Got the crab leg tray and the?skrimp? meal as well. The shrimp (got the spicy sauce) was crazy. The tray was packed with corn and potatoes and 3 clusters.The sauce in the tray was more sweet than the traditional Old Bay (not sure I?m a big fan) boil I'm used to but was supergood. This is gonna sound crazy and annoying but the sign for me of great cook/chef/grill mate is the way they cook produce.One of my highlights to the whole meal was the grilled broccoli. We all know places that overcook broccoli or it tastescompletely bland; not at 9 Cafe. When we talk black owned we?re sometimes left with something to be desired. The owner andchefs are super friendly, kind and great vibes. There are black artists on the wall available for purchase and good musicplaying. She even let me put up my concert poster!
