I went to go pick up a birthday cake on Saturday 9/24/22 and the name in the text on the cake was misspelled. I showed a copy of... the order form and how it was supposed to be spelled. One of the girls went to correct it and mispelled it again.. On the 3rdtry she finally got it right. I remained calm and tried to be pacient despite my frustration, as the cake was supposed to beready the day before. I should have got the cake for free. This isn't the 1st time that I've purchased a cake from this Safewaylocation and it was wrong. Read more

She was in a very stressful situation being short staffed and super busy with a long line of customers. But shecame through for us and our Dad loved his German Chocolate cake! Very crowded parking lot, mostly due to the fact that this shopping mall is actually fairly well occupied by stores. However the... safe way in question. Fairly high prices due to large amounts of theft, a lot of things like liquor and formula whatnot are keptlocked up. The store is fairly crammed tight as they did not really have the room they needed when they renovated. The only meatavailable sliced in the deli is Boar's head, the house brand if you look in the Cold Case in the center aisle, you will justfind more of their product prepackaged. Safeway offers it in several different methods, but it's all the same quality justbearing prices. Make sure you carefully check your coupons because Summer digital and some you have to cut out. Also if you gothere for the hamburger or any kind of specials on meat it's best to call ahead and make sure they actually have it. And thenget to the store as soon as possible. Even though they have a Friday sale, the meat manager may not have brought in enoughproduct. Produce is good quality, however it is expensive. But that's to be expected, they have a great selection of pre cut uppackaged vegetables for quick dinners, that are not too exorbitant. Also good luck trying to find a shopping cart. And if you'rethere before 5:00 p.m. the front of the store will be jam-packed with people running in and out with delivery orders or a linefor the Wells Fargo Bank. Read more
In terms of the Pittsburg location, it's certainly not my favorite Safeway in my local area. A majority of the employees seem to... care less about customer service, though many of the customers here are not very pleasant to be fair. It's the type of storewhere you grab what you need, pay and then get out. And forget trying to get Starbucks during peak hours because you will waitalmost 20 minutes for your drink to be made. Overall, I've been to better Safeways. Read more
Once again Safeway on Bailey road in Pittsburg/bay point is trash, no carts ( even in parking lot) I?m sure the local homeless... people have all of the carts, walked in found 1 of 7 hand baskets and decided I would just get enough for breakfast/dinner, eventhough I needed to shop for the week and get bigger items, I found the few items that would fit in my basket, proceeded to selfcheck, scanned 1 item then was immediately promoted for needing assistance from cashier, I then left items and walked out, maybehave your useless security guards do cart runs and stop homeless people from stealing carts, if I want a ghetto shoppingexperience I?ll go to winco and pay winco prices, I expect more from Safeway Read more
