This place needs to be shut down! It is absolutely disgusting. This food is not homemade at all. I?m not sure who was giving... them their food reviews but they?re lying. Look at this food, does anything look appealing or prepared properly? I will neverorder from them again. How can food be salty and lack flavor? Absolutely horrible. I had ordered for pickup and the food wasn't quite ready, which is totally reasonable since that's when they open, but I wanted... to praise their communication by checking with me when I got in and giving me updates. This is such important skill to have witha business, so I was grateful for that. The food was great and filling! Super flavorful and spiced vegetables, and freshlyfried fish and chicken that wasn't too salty (just a preference of mine). Looking forward to the next time I want to feel thiscozy, thank you! I like the professionalism.. I like the staff and I love the food.. I would give them a five stars if the music wasn't so loud... when you go in, it's so loud sometimes when you order your food you can't even hear or speak to the person at the counter. OMG! This is the most unbelievably delicious soul food! We ordered take out, the Family meal with chicken and pork chops, and... two sides. We also ordered additional sides. Mashed potatoes w/gravy, corn bread, beans, yams, mac n cheese and stringbeans. The food was fresh and hot. Pork chops and chicken were crispy and juicy. The mac n cheese is different than what youwould expect, but delicious. All the other sides were phenomenal. The green beans were a bit salty, but no big deal. There werethree of us and we ate everything..the only talking at the dinner table was "OMG this is so good"! We couldn't stop eating itwas all SO delicious!! My daughter picked up the order and said that the service was excellent and the workers were so kind andfriendly. I ordered the 2 meat dinner with fried fish & fried pork chop w/greens, Mac n cheese and a side of potato salad. I honestly have... no complaints. The taste of everything was to my liking. Their friendliness and customer service was great. I didn?t get anychicken because I only eat breasts and all they serve is dark meat. I really wish they did serve breasts. First time ordering from Lady J's. Lena's in Oakland was my go to when on that side of town. I was craving soul food today... though, but didn't want to make that drive to Oakland. I instead ordered from Lady J's ????. Got a smothered pork chop platewith greens, rice and gravy, and a fried chicken plate with green beans and yams. Sampled everything and most was delicious!There was something going on with the rice and gravy; had a weird taste. Otherwise, everything else was good. Pic shows thechicken plate; moved the pork chop plate to another since I wasn't trying to eat it all at once. it's reasonably priced. Thereare some other items that I want to try. Planning to return.
