Reviews for La Veranda Ristorante Italiano in Pittsburg, CA
This is a beautiful restaurant. I really enjoyed the bread, they were fluffy, one of the best bread I have had in a while as I... am not really into bread. But my palate failed me when it came to the meal. I should probably blame it on not feeling too wellthat day. I would try to it out another time maybe then I would rate 5star. Hubby had a Margarita and he said it was nice. Read more

I grew up in Pittsburg and downtown has definitely changed! I'm so in love with the new area and really enjoyed my time at La... Veranda with my family. When I was visiting this last weekend we decided to give this place a try and we were very satisfied. We visited on a busy Friday evening and from the bar to the tables, there was barely any available seating. As busy as it was itseemed there were only 2 waitresses hustling, but they were still very attentive and checked on us regularly. Our table orderedLinguine alla Vongole, Penne Tri-Funghi and Chicken Parmigiana (not on the menu but they still made it - nice surprise!).Although I didn't get to try the linguine, my mother loved it and my sister was raving about the chicken. As I've shared inprevious reviews, they are hard women to please - so great job La Veranda! My husband and I shared the Penne Tri-Funghi and bothloved it. We added chicken so it wasn't completely vegetarian but I really enjoyed the savory mushroom sauce! It'll be hard forme not to order this again when I come back to visit. Overall we were very satisfied and I will definitely want to come back! Read more
My wife and I were in town visiting her family and decided to give this place a try in old town Pittsburg since we were craving... Italian. We were pretty pleased with dinner and how tasty it was. We decided to split the penne tre-funghi and added chicken. We honestly thought that it would be a better upgrade but kinda wished we didn?t since as a stand-alone dish it was very good!!The flavor was fantastic and the pasta was cooked perfect. The linguine with clams was also ordered and was told it was prettytasty. My sister in law was able to get chicken parmigiana even though it?s not on the menu and it was delicious! I wasn?t a fanof the tomato spread that was brought out with the room temperature bread. That was my only critique of the night but overall, everything tasted great and the staff was wonderful. This quaint Italian restaurant in old historic Pittsburg was a hidden gem. It's surprising that more people don't know about... this place. It was pretty quiet when we went there. The food was pretty good. Prices were reasonable, about $20-$35 per person.I got the special, so it was a little higher than normal. I took some pictures of what I got that night. The restaurant islocated in a beautiful restored historical Art Deco building across from the Pittsburg Square. Read more
One of our favorite places to go when we lived in Pittsburg. Margarita pizza is like no other. Fresh oregano! Went last for the... first time in 5 years and it was just as good as we remembered. One of the better creme Brulee I've had in a while. Read more
One of Pittsburg's Finest! Delicious, Welcoming, Fast Service, and always a pleasurable experience. The taste of fresh... ingredients and food cooked to order is the best part. It's difficult to find great restaurants that still cook this way anddon't outsource to the cheaper garbage packaged stuff. Did I mention the food is delicious!?! Read more
The service was good, friendly staff and food was just ok. The shrimp appetizer was fantastic, bartender made an excellent long... island and desert was amazing. However, I wasn't impressed with the lasagna or salad. Don't think I'll be returning. Read more
