I had been reading so many great reviews about Milkweed, so I decided to give it a try. We didn't need any reservations, and we... were seated fairly quick. My first impression was disappointment. From the pictures on the website, and on Yelp and Google Ithought the place would be more spacious. The place is really cramped. I didn't want to take any pictures of the inside, becauseit was so crowded, and I didn't want to annoy people taking pictures of the inside of the place. Needless to say, it is verycramped. Especially at lunch time, which is when I went, you're right on top of people. Also, there's no AC. They could reallyuse a fly exterminator, because there seemed to be an abundance of them. So right off the bat, I must say I was a littledisappointed. It's very noisy in there as well, because you're so cramped. Don't expect to have a quiet brunch. We went on aweekday afternoon at 11:00, thinking that would be a good time to have brunch, but the place was packed. I figured that the foodwould make up for the disappointment I felt at the ambience of the place. The aesthetics were just okay, but it didn't look likethe pictures on the website. The biggest problem was the amount of flies that you had the bat away from your food. It made anyexpectation of an enjoyable meal moot. I was expecting dynamite food because the place was so full. We started off with coffee, and two appetizers. I got the peaches and ricotta ($12), and my guest ordered the cream filled donuts ($7). The ricotta wasn'tsweetened, but the peaches were sort of there to add some sort of sweetness. I ended up having to put sugar on it to make ittaste like a confection for the toast (4 half slices)????. The cream filled donuts were very good, and they paired well with theweak coffee. They had lemon shavings on them with cream inside. I would get the donuts again, but not the peaches. For ourentrees, I ordered the short rib omelette ($16), and my guest ordered the steak and egg ranchero ( Read more

The food here is some of the best I've ever had. I love the decor too, very chic. And it was clean! I sat outside area in back... and it was beautiful and well maintained. Service was great and the food came out promptly. The only bad thing I can say is thatthere is a cash only policy, which is slightly annoying if you're like me and tend to not carry cash often. They do have an ATMof course, but you'll have to pay it's $3 fee to use it. But, the food and atmosphere are so good, this is hardly a reason tonot go. I'll definitely be back again. Read more

So glad we treated ourselves to brunch here at Milkweed! This charming and trendy spot is the perfect setting. Lots of options... for seating, inside, curbside, upstairs or on the back patio. Service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff. Our drinkswere very good, especially the iced lavender latte. I highly recommend the Nutella donut bites, absolute perfection. We eachhad eggs Benedict (steak and fried chicken) and they were amazing. I upgraded to the Parmesan frites and they were well worthit. We visited on a weekday and perhaps that?s why our experience was so different from previous reviews? I?m just happy I gaveMilkweed a try and look forward to returning. My only suggestion is to have actual menus. Their offering is quite extensive sotrying to decide while looking at a phone screen took way longer than it needed to. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience fora special brunch! Read more

Been wanting to go here since they opened (about 6 months ago). Totally worth the wait. Extensive menu of brunch fare with a... twist. Attention to detail in the decor adds to the overall enjoyable experience. Generous portions. Wide selection of coffeeflavors and tea offerings. Menu standouts/be sure to try: the Cherry Pierogi, the Nutella Donut Bites and the Candied BaconBananas Foster Waffles. Need to know: Cash only, 90 minute table limit. It would probably be a good idea to check the menuonline prior to your visit to make your selections because there is a lot to choose from. Also, there are no menus, only a QRcode that directs you to their menu online. Read more

We had our engagement party here and I couldn?t be happier! I?ve been here once before for brunch with family and everything was... amazing but their privates events are even better. The space is gorgeous. Everything is so aesthetically pleasing and they adda personal touch to everything for the event. They even had the outdoor space set up beautifully and everyone felt very warmeven on a February day! The food was delicious as always! We did buffet style and my guest couldn?t stop talking about howamazing everything tasted. Everyone raved about the coffee and latte flavor selection. The menu is so fun and they have dishesthat I?ve never seen at other restaurants. The chef really knows how to make it special and even had some great recommendationswhen I was picking my menu. The service was unmatched. Everyone was so welcoming and continued to check on all of our guestthroughout the event. They went above and beyond to make the day run smoothly. I would 100% recommended this place to anyonefor private events or just to come grab brunch with your family and friends. Sandy and her team made our day so special andpersonable. My family and friends had such a great time! Read more

Unless you want to cross the bridge for brunch, you really do not need to since this gem is in town. Milkweed is a standout... brunch establishment set amidst the quaint shops of downtown Pitman, NJ. The ambiance is relaxing, as the owners, Alex andElena, want their clients to experience not only the food, but the environment. Their menu is not vast, but the sweet andsavory offerings will cater to any palette. One must absolutely try the southern biscuits with seasonal flavored butters whilesipping a latte. I have now brunched with them six times and have enjoyed all that I have ordered. Their waitstaff isattentive, friendly, and happy to help. Kids are welcomed, and furry friends are often seen outside on their front patio area. And while the establishment is cash only, if you're planning on coming, just stop at the ATM or use the one on premises. If youlook around, you'll observe that a ton of love went into every detail of this hot spot, and that it was done so that everycustomer could savor their time spent at Milkweed Table and Market.
