Aloha! Beachwalk BBQ is camped out many days here in this parking lot on Grand Ave. & is part of a "collective" of food trunks... many weekdays. BBBQ does their own smoky take on Hawaiian Plate lunches that include some of the best savory, smoky, &succulent pork & brisket that can be found anywhere. While I know that they smoke their meats overnight at least, the meat iseven better than the very few local places that do smoked meat. The Kailua Pork & Brisket are amazing in of themselves, andthey also have other Hawaiian themed goodies. Plate lunches do contain two scoops rice, and a scoop of Mac salad. You can subfried rice for a bit more. While we have a least one other Hawaiian Plate lunch place in town [which is only on Fridays &Sats.], the more the merrier and you may very well like the more robust smoky taste that B-BBQ offers. The staff is alwaysfriendly and they welcome calls & special orders as well. For those who want a quick excellent meal, you definitely will findone here and it does not break the piggy bank. If you have a mood for something else as well, I have been known to get a fewchoice dishes from at least two trucks here, but B-BBQ is generally my favorite go to comfort meal. Since I used to live, eat,work, & study in Hawaii for over a decade that it saying something. Mahalo to B-BBQ for fulfilling my need for Hawaiian Platelunch grinds [Pidgin for meal/food]. Read more
