Reviews for Hoja Asian Fusion in Piscataway, NJ
It is so funny that the owner said "Each of our dishes is made fresh". Please stop lying. I got the half cold dish and the cook... came out and literally told me he microwaved it. This place did not offer to make a "new" one or refund. I was so fed up and Ithrew the food in the trash and left. --------------------------------------------------- Update: to respond to the owner, itmight be your policy to remake or refund but that was never offered when I ate in. I don't see how that is a policy but neverenforced. I will not stop in again for microwaved and cold trash food. Read more
I only gave a 2 star rating because the food looked appetizing but, I wasn?t expecting the sauce to be on the side I expected it... to be on the chicken but, besides that, it still didn?t taste good. I wouldn?t recommend. Read more
Had a fun time checking out Hoja in the Livingston campus. They have a great selection of Asian food here and I tried a few... shared dishes. Definitely a good place if you?re in the area! Read more
Usually I'm not picky for fast food, but this Hoja is literally the WORST one I've ever had in the US. Trust me, you can make... better food with your own microwave oven. I ordered Curry Chicken Rice, and after 10 mins waiting, I got a COLD DISH! Thecashier said the cook heated it. It felt hot from the bottom, but it's cold inside and on top of it. Obviously the cook justmicrowaved it. Then the cashier said they will make a 'New One' for me. After another ten minutes waiting, I got a 'New One'. Ididn't look at it because I was late for class. When I got home, I opened my dish, you can see it very clear that the chicken onthe side was very dry, obviously the cook just microwaved it again. I'm so disappointed. BTW, the chicken is not very fresh, youcan taste that. Again as I said, you can make better food with your own microwave oven. Read more
I've been a Ubereat customer of theirs for a while now, I don't have a lot of problem with their food so far. Although, I have... to say the glass-noodle dish is very bad, either remove it from the menu or try something else with it. I just want it to benoted that they just raise the price of their uber eat menu for 25%. So the price went from acceptable to "I will not orderagain." I have nothing against the restaurant but just putting it out there that your price has exceeded my price range forchinese take out. Read more
Prices were ok, the Kimchi kind of had a oily after taste, I miss my Stepmom's, guess I was expecting it to taste like her Home... cooked meal. I liked the Boba Tea Read more
One of the underrated stars of the Rutgers food scene. From exciting, spicy dishes such as the one in the image below, to a... relaxing bowl of noodle soup, this is what I want to eat in college. As a Chinese American, this restaurant serves the mostauthentic and closely traditional Chinese food to anywhere I have been on campus. I will admit, not every meal is always up topar with my standards, however they have certain gems such as their three pepper chicken, or drunken chicken and mala hot potfor 2 which leads me to continue to bring my friends to this place. And each of them have fallen in love with it as well. Youcan trust me on my selections, as I have eaten more than half of their menu at this point. Additionally, the chefs are veryflexible to your needs and tastes. For example, kimchi fried rice is not on their menu, but whenever I ask the chef to make itfor me he always has. This restaurant knows how to value committed customers and their rewards program encourages you to comemore. Don?t be afraid to move beyond their lunch special wok service and ask them to cook you a fresh, hot meal. It issurprisingly delicious, but predictively addicting. Also, if you are looking for good vegetable options, this is the place tobe. Give Hoja Fusion a try, and see how it really tastes. Read more
