About two years ago, I started coming to this location on a regular basis. It wasn?t until one bad experience that changed my... whole opinion about this location. One man, who no longer works there, was extremely rude to me when I asked him to remake mysandwich because he prepared the sandwich on a used cutting board. As someone who has severe, life-threatening food allergies,making a sandwich in such a way could cost me my life. He huffed and puffed because they were busy and I ended up throwing mysandwich away because I did not feel comfortable eating the sandwich he remade. I understand the risks of eating at restaurants;however, there are certain accommodations I ask to mitigate the risk of cross-contamination with one of my many allergens.Nothing hard, just a few added steps to ensure my safety - change gloves, new cutting board, new knife... that's it. I havewalked out of restaurants before because of rude employees who refuse to take precautions or people not being able toaccommodate my allergies. After that incident, I stopped coming to this location. It was not until about 6 months ago that Idecided to try this location again, to which I am very happy I did. They have been the absolute best location, of anyrestaurant, I have ever been at. All of the employees are friendly and take precautions to ensure my safety. From the start,when I walk in, I am always greeted. The manager, Hunter, is extremely helpful and cautious with my allergies, going out of herway to ensure my safety. When I walk in she goes straight to change her gloves, get a new cutting board from the back, and afresh, clean knife from the kitchen. She carefully prepares my food and does not seem to mind when I watch her prepare it toensure it has been prepared correctly (some people get nervous or make rude looks at me if I stand at the end to watch themprepare it). Just went in to order lunch at 3:20 on a Sunday. Ordered two large subs, two sides of mac n cheese, and two medium drinks. We... tipped 4 dollars, and rounded up with a donation. Came home and realized we paid 8$ for TWO mac n cheeses that they never gaveus. Heard the employees all talking about leaving so i guess they were in too much of a rush to pay attention to their orderscorrectly. I was the only customer in there besides my girlfriend. Also asked for cucumber on my sub and they didnt add thateither. Poor service, my girlfriend was very upset when we got home and saw what was missing, as was I. Spent 40$ for two subsand a drink. Wow. It?s been 5+ years since i had been to a Firehouse sub establishment. Decided to stop at this one. Prices are higher and... portions are smaller. Subs look nothing like the picture in the menu; and honestly not enough meat on the sandwich. It wasn?tjust mine, it was everyone?s on my table. $2.99 to make it a combo. If you order the large sub, you?ll be paying $15 for sub,chips, and drinks. Not a good deal; especially considering the amount of meat you get. Read more
Amazing place for subs. Highly recommend the Cajun chicken. Subs here are above par, fresh ingredients and just great quality.... Prices are very fair for what you get. The pace in making the sandwiches here could be a little faster but once you starteating, its worth the wait. Read more
