Reviews for Kao Thai Kitchen in Pinellas Park, FL
Tried Kao Thai Kitchen for the first time. Free parking right off the 66th, nice atmosphere. My ice noodle chicken salad was... very good, so were the dumplings. My friend had pork Jerky, which tasted more like fried pork and was not as good as expected. She also said that her Mexican Roll was okay. I'd go back to try more things. I thought prices were a little high. They did havelunch menu where several dishes were $9.95, maybe we'll try those items next time. Read more
Great authentic Thai food and selection of sushi. Found prices a little too high and portions a little too small, but maybe it's... just the dreaded inflation. Looked the quiet, cozy atmosphere on a Saturday at 5pm. Read more
Delicious food, reasonable prices, classy atmosphere, jazz music and friendly service. One of my favorite Thai restaurants.
WOW! I am speechless and I am struggling to find proper words to write this review. Born and raised in Thailand. Spent my... teenage years visiting my birth place often? I have visited numerous states and cities across the country. Logged history of 300plus Thai restaurants and this one is top ten on my list. TOP 10 of all time!!! Do you all know what Ka-Pi is??? Do anyAmerican? This restaurant serves ?KAO KOOK KA PI? ? ONLY real Thai really uses and eat Ka-Pi? and guess what- they served it theway grandma would. I can?t kiss my wife for two days after eating Ka-Pi (fermented shrimp paste) but it is worth it! Read more
So I've gotten take out from here twice now and it's okay, but pricey for such small portions. I don't even remember what I... ordered the first time, but it was during the beginning of the pandemic last year and I wanted to support local asianrestaurants. I do remember that it was bland and tasted more like it catered to american palates than to Thai/Lao palates. So Idecided to give them a second chance but it all still tasted like Americanized thai food. The decor is very estheticallypleasing and modern chic, but if the food was given the same wow factor in taste as opposed to plating presentation (in otherreviewers photos) then they would have gotten 5 stars from me. The food in my photos looked delicious, but were just mediocre intaste and missing the umami and balance of tastes. Read more
Nice small environment. Service was good. The Pad Thai was burned flavor so swapped out to Sweet and Sour which was okay, but... portion quite small. The Ribs in Panang Curry were okay. Flavorful sauce with average quality ribs. Some more veggies for colorand texture and balance would have been ideal. The Tom Kha was a small portion and at first had a thin weak flavor, but slowlybuilt up into a nice flavor profile. Read more
We stopped in a little late but still got great service, they didn?t make us feel rushed at all. The waitress was very friendly... and was able to give us some recommendations for delicious Thai food. Food had lots of flavor and was great. Food was fairlypriced and good portion size, will definitely visit again. Read more
I found this restaurant to be a little too trendy for my liking. Menu was large, including many authentic Thai dishes. I felt... the spring rolls aka garden rolls were not the best. The entrees came out quickly but were not as good as many competitors.Service was average. Prices are also slightly higher than competing Thai restaurants. Given all of the other options that exist, this just wasn't that notable of a place. Read more
