Our trip to the Cabbage Key Inn was exactly what we needed. The Dollhouse Cottage was charming, and the staff warm. We took the... Island Girl Charters ferry to the island and enjoyed a weekend unplugged from work in the most pristine setting. While I can\'tspeak to the Inn, the cottage was well equipped with a small fridge, a comfortable king-sized bed, and a screened-in lanaiperfect for watching the passing boats, and the rain in the evening.\n\nThe restaurant is better than it has to be, as it is theonly place for food on site. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of all their offerings. I highly recommend whateverchef special there is, as well as the ribeye. The cheeseburger also lived up to the hype if you\'re looking for a more casualmeal. Be sure to rent a skiff and travel to Cayo Costa for a private beach experience with plenty of shells and expansive gulfviews.\n\nWe can\'t wait to return again soon. Read more

We\'ve been visiting this spot during our yearly Captiva family vacation for 20+ years. The fact that it can only be reached by... boat is a very unique and cool feature, and I understand they have to have their seafood and other supplies shipped into themdaily as a result, but the prices have gotten a bit high even considering this fact. However, the food is good (burger was hugeand delicious), and staff are friendly. The dollar bills adorning all of the walls and ceiling are truly memorable. Worth avisit for sure. Read more

Super cool atmosphere and interesting history. Really good food, and the best key lime pie in the area! Be sure to climb to... the top of the water tower for some great pictures. If going for a walk down the trails, you\'ll see some signs warning ofgators. I\'ve never seen gators on the island, but I\'m pretty sure the signs aren\'t kidding. Read more
