First time going to the market place and I?ll say right off the bat they do a lot of things right here ? The restaurant itself... is very nice and ?homey? if you will? Good ambience, very spacious inside. There?s a lot of nice decorations, and paintings forsale from (I assume) local artists. In the lady?s bathroom there?s a lot of religious art work and scripture related things,which I really liked. The outdoor seating is great as well. The sandwiches here are a definite 5 stars, and personally I highly recommend the bacon and brei.My husband and I were definitely more than satisfied. The wait staff here is also 5 stars. We were attended by nearly all theservers, as they do a shared tip/order system. Quick story - My husband ordered the monkeys breakfast smoothie, to which theyinformed us they didn?t have anymore bananas so he would just be getting peanut butter, milk, and oats. He decided to order itanyway and the staff went out of their way to make sure he knew what he was ordering. They even made it, and let him sample itso he could decided if he liked it or not free or charge. In the spirit of full transparency IF I had to say ONE thing thatwasn?t 5 star about this restaurant, it would be how long it took to get our sandwiches?. There weren?t too many people when wearrived, and we noticed that a table that sat down about 10 minutes after us, got their meal before we did. I arrived early for an appointment and decided to grab some lunch. The menu is simple, but the looked like a enough selection... of sandwiches, soup, coffee, and some desserts. I had the lunch special of 1/2 sandwich + soup + chips. The bacon briesandwich was awesome! Over flow with perfectly cooked ???? The berry ham wasn't that spicy and was a perfect pair with thebrie. The Wisconsin cheddar soup was flavorful and yum! Only negative was spoon for the soup weren't given automatically norwere napkins. Otherwise the staff was friendly and the food was great! We just moved to the area and after looking around we settled in this super cute place, especially when I saw the... croissants!!! Immediately the curb appeal was AMAZING. Then to walk in and see a bustling, cute cafe with lots of smiling faceswas a huge deal to me. We were greeted with a "hi y'all"!!! We were treated kindly and sat promptly. They were short staffed,so it did take awhile to place and receive our order, and the sandwich portion was a bit small, but everything tasted good andthe sweet tea with clove was the BEST. The soups were delicious, and piping hot. So good. While we waited for our meal we haddelicious apple pie, that the guy said his grandma baked from scratch. It was delicious. Friendly wait staff & nice atmosphere! The half sweet tea & half unsweetened tea with clove, iced, was just right, not too sweet... with a hint of clove aftertaste I ordered the Mediterranean chicken salad. I was disappointed with the portion size. I also didnot like the chicken, instead of fresh grilled chicken it had a taste of frozen chicken with a fatty texture.
