Husband and I fell in love ???? We thought it was a quaint little shop for tourists to stop by and was pleasantly surprised to... find a restaurant! Our server was Madeline and she was fantastic ???? We shared the fried chicken sandwich with fries. Thankgoodness we shared, it was so much we definitely would have to get a to go box. The fried apple pies were delicious ????Unfortunately we had to forego the the pecan divinity roll ???? but we will be back! Read more

We try and stop by the Country Kitchen whenever we visit Callaway Gardens! If you are lucky to be seated near the windows, you... will be privy to a wonderful view of the Georgia woodlands that encompass the gardens. A few of our favorites are the ChickenFried Chicken and the French Toast along with of a side of those buttery biscuits with the famous muscadine preserve! The storeportion varies by season, but we enjoy it because they typically stock Georgia made apple cider from Hillside Orchard Farms. Read more

Sunrise breakfast: eggs over easy with sausage and hash browns. I love their grits, but opted for has browns and bought a bag... of their grits to take home because they?re that good. Their freshly made biscuits melt in your mouth with the sweet butter andmuscadine jelly. I could. Have ordered just a plate of biscuits. Fresh, hot food with great service. Read more

We've not been here in several years and really looked forward to eating here. The food was not bad but we've had much better.... We had the country fried steak, okra and mashed potatoes. The gravy on the steak had congealed when we finally got it. Theokra and potatoes were cold. The servers seemed as if their job was a bother. It will be several more years before we go back. The food was nothing special. The sides lack seasoning, the fried green tomato sandwich was the worse I?ve ever had (Mayo base... something with sweet jam, cucumber, cheese, on toast)? my friend enjoyed his pork chops and my side salad and fried okra wasgood. They weren?t busy? I came just for the view and didn?t like the fact they wouldn?t allow us to sit at a table that seatsmore people where we could lookout the Windows and enjoy the view? the main reason for our hot in a half hour trip. The firstwaitress we had wasn?t friendly and she left without letting us know something else would be taking over. Thank goodness theother lady was much more pleasant. Won?t be back and wouldn?t recommend. Neither of us were pleased. Read more
