Had a great dinner and wonderful service tonight! My husband loved his sushi roll and seaweed salad. I had a delicious... gluten-free and vegan pot of fresh veggies in a yummy sauce. We'll definitely be back! Read more
We were traveling from Groveland to Tahoe and wanted some type of Asian food and we found this place online. We ended up... ordering the Poke Bowl with Spicy Tuna (Avacado added extra) and Drunken Noodles. Both were completely different types of meals, both were excellent! Would recommend to a friend. ???? A lot of love goes into their food. That is perhaps the most important thing about this place, I can tell you. Their ramen has... bountiful portions of meat, egg, noodles and seasonings. Their drunken noodles were tender, packed with sauce andseasonings. The Yaki Udon noodles were huge, the wife couldn't finish them. No complaints from her. The bottom line: You'regetting food that's made from scratch, methodically assembled with the customer's experience at the forefront of their cooking.Highly recommend, will return. Read more
Easily one of the nicest (if not the nicest) place to eat in Pine Grove. I had the curry, and it was hands down one of the best... I?ve eaten. The portion size is substantial, so come hungry or plan to take your leftovers home. The owner/operators are some ofthe nicest people you?ll meet, and clearly put their passion in to their food. You won?t regret eating at Wok and Roll. Read more
This hidden gem in Pine Grove is like no other restaurant. Don't come in a hurry or expecting something bland! The care and... artistry that goes into these dishes can only come from a chef sharing their passion for flavor and home cooking with you. Charlie (I hope I spelled it right) is such a darling person in addition to being a food genius. I got the Spicy Korean Soup(asked for it mild, but was warned that's still 5/10 heat without adding anything) and man. It is a flavor explosion! Thespice was definitely there, but not the kind of heat that drowns iut flavor. She described to me the array of spices, peppers, herbs, roasted roots, and 8 hour bone broth base that goes into this dish and it's no wonder it's so incredible! There was someSichuan pepper in there that I tasted for the first time in my life, and they aren't kidding when they say it makes your mouthtingly! I hope you will make the trip to try this place, settle in, and get ready for some food artistry and a flavor granade ifyou give this soup a try. My other go-to is the Bibimbop. If you're new to this cuisine, it's great comfort food. Read more
Husband really likes the fried rice. I have tried the Korean BBQ a number of times and it is just awful. That sounds harsh but... each time it has a bitter burnt flavor that really can?t be masked with the sweet sauce provided. We also had spring rolls, theywere tasty but the peanut sauce is also pretty bad(warm/runny/watered down peanut butter?). The volcano roll was sweet and kindof a mess of conflicting flavors and toppings. Read more
