Good catfish is not as available as it used to be, but Leons has plenty. The last couple of years the fish has been consistenly... good. They do now charge for the iced tea, but it is brewed and most places charge for drinks. Good fish, good service, and goodpeople eat there. Read more

What a great find. This is an old school place to eat with some of the BEST fried catfish I've ever had. I usually don't go for... fried foods but I could not stop eating my husband's. Tina was an amazing server, super friendly and very knowledgeable. You getcole slaw, cheese dip and tomato relish with your meal served family style. Some crazy good cole slaw. Order the hush puppies,they were so fresh and lots of flavor and dip in the cheese dip yum. I ordered the boiled shrimp dinner with fries and myhusband got the catfish dinner. Everything was so good and fresh, with generous portions. We will most likely stop back on ourway from New Orleans. Read more

Excellent food, swift service, wonderful sides, and great prices for the quality of the food. The Hush Puppies are solid and... crisp and come before you even order the meal, along with the coleslaw and a special sauce for them. The catfish is lightlybreaded with cornmeal, and the fish is fresh and tender and not at all overcooked. The fried shrimp was light and still juicy.The boiled shrimp was wonderfully seasoned, cold and crisp and wonderful. The fries were plentiful and the baked potatoexcellent. We really enjoyed out meal a lot, and the wait staff was super efficient even though there had been a HUGE party justbefore us. Read more

I've heard a lot about this place, nothing bad just that they have some really good catfish. So I recently decided to try it out... because I love a good catfish dinner. And before placing my order my mom told me to make sure I tell them I want my fish crispyotherwise it'll be too soft. (It was a to-go order) My wait time was about 15 minutes, which is normal for a to-go order. Foodwas ready in time and hot & fresh as it should be. The fish was seasoned well, crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside andIt taste great. It didn't have that fresh water fishy taste, which I dislike. The hush puppies were good as well. I don't toomuch care for cole slaw. And the fries were decent. My only issue is it wasn't what I expected for the price of a large. Thedinner seem a little empty to me, it didn't come with enough fries. The fries are what makes the meal, at least that's what Ithink. Iol.
