This place stays busy, and now I know why. It's awesome! We visited for breakfast on a Tuesday. We showed up 15 minutes before... they opened, and still had 70+ people ahead of us. Once they opened, the line went in fast, and we were able to eat withoutwaiting longer. Although I imagine the waits can get long. It's worth it though Staff were all very friendly, even though theystayed very busy. Breakfast is served with complimentary orange juice and banana nut muffins, which were delicious I orderedthe old mill country breakfast, which is basically a sampling of everything. My wife had an omelet. And we shared a cinnamonraised pecan French toast. It was all delicious. The French toast was amazing! The biscuits and gravy were quite delicioustoo. Highly highly recommend. Just know the line gets long, very very long Read more

Loved the vibe and history of this place. We're visiting from Louisiana and our server happened to be from Louisiana too..... thought that was neat. Great service and the food was great! I had the chicken and dumplings which were superb. Loved the greenbeans, corn chowder, and the corn fritters! Read more

My favorite part of the meal was the freshly cooked hot corn fritter balls and honey butter. This alone made it worth the hour... and 45 minute wait. We went for dinner and most entrees come with corn chowder, side salad, 2 side dishes and a dessert whichchanges daily. We got the crispy fried chicken to share and added a side dish of broccoli casserole. Our server was running upand down those stairs like a track star and worked very efficiently. She was not very friendly but got our food delivered to ourtable quickly and refilled our glasses when they were low. Our broccoli casserole was like they were scraping the bottom of thepan, so dry and hard, but they made it right and replaced it. They wanted to make sure we were completely happy with our food. The chicken portion was very generous and hot. This is definitely a good down-home cooking restaurant and they got peoplethrough in the quickest way without making you feel rushed. Also, they have an elevator to the main floor and another lift downto a level where your table is. Make sure to mention that you can't do stairs or you'll be climbing! We took the chocolate caketo-go and it was so good! Read more

The Old Mill is a STAPLE in our trips to the Pigeon Forge area. This visit was particularly great. My parents really enjoyed... the cornbread fritters, and I loved the starter corn chowder soup and salad. I ordered the country fried chicken smothered ingravy, which was fantastic. My mom ordered the country fried steak and said it was cooked to perfection. Typically, my dadorders the chicken pot pie, but he decided to try something different this time and ordered the Southern BBQ Plate, which camewith pulled pork BBQ, and coleslaw. We al received great helpings of what we ordered, as well as the unlimited mashed potatoesand green beans. The service was great as always, and we enjoyed bringing home our desserts of banana pudding and pecanpie! Something that we have really appreciated every visit is how the Old Mill allows guests to take home left overs of ALL thefood ordered. We never feel stressed or pressured to try to squeeze everything in, and enjoy eating whatever is left over whenwe get back to our hotel or home. We will continue coming back, and I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. There issomething for everybody, from southern delicacies to seafood, to whatever (within reason) your heart desires. - Early August2022 Read more

After a quick search of "Best Places to Eat in Pigeon Forge" we selected The Old Mill Restaurant. We parked rather far away, but... that was not a problem as the walk itself was beautiful. We had about an hour wait. Again, not a problem as we enjoyed our timein the General Store. Once we were seated we were greeted by the loveliest server, Marta. I think she was probably one of themost efficient, attentive and friendliest servers we've ever had ANYWHERE! The food arrived timely and was absolutelyfantastic. When ordering you meal you automatically get a cup the the best Corn Chowder I've ever tasted, corn fritters, breadand a salad to start. WOW. For our main dishes we ordered the Country Fried Steak and Turkey with Cornbread Stuffing. Both werecooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. These meals arrived with mashed potatoes and green beans. Our meal ended on a sweetnote with a selection of desserts, which we ordered banana pudding. I highly recommend Old Mill Restaurant if you're in thearea. It is well run and in watching the overall operation, i can say it is genuinely one of the best restaurants we've everbeen to..at home, in our travels or beyond. Read more

If I could give them 12 stars I would. The wait was short as it gets while they're busy as it gets. The server was super nice.... The coffee was perfect. No bitterness taste at all. The complementary OJ was delicious. The Old Mill Breakfast was amazing.Better come with an empty belly. For less than 1q dollars, 2 people could easily share one order. It came with pancakes, sausage, biscuits, grits, potato rounds and eggs to order, plus delicious brown gravy. Then amy ordered their cinnamon raisinpecan French toast and wow it's good. Highly highly recommend the restaurant. Read more

This time I just ran in to grab a pecan pie to bring back home to my mom - she says they're the best she's ever had. We ate... there years ago and it was decent. To me it was a little under seasoned, but a lot of people rave about this restaurant. In thebusy summer months the line gets long to get seated, but it moves pretty fast. Read more

The Old Mill Restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The food is also really good. We had fried chicken and chicken and dumplings.... Our soups were corn chowder and vegetable beef. (The corn chowder has clam juice so those with a seafood allergy be aware). TheOld Mill Restaurant has a charming and cozy atmosphere even though it is very busy. Our waitress was very nice and added to ourexperience. I would recommend being prepared to wait for a little while before being seated. Read more
