For the life of me I cant remember our servers name. All I can remember is that it started with a "C". It might have been... Chelsea but she was absolutely amazing. Food that should be cold was warm. Roast beef was extremely pink and not tender as fully cooked roast beef should be. Poor... variety. Waiter complained that he's 15 and stuck working there on a Saturday. After reading the generic reply that's put onevery negative review, I'd like to add additional information. After mentioning we were unsatisfied with the quality of thefood, we received an apology and were told that hopefully next time would be better. There will be no next time. You asked if wespoke to a manager? Based on just the amount of reviews posted since mine that state the same complaints as mine, perhaps it'stime to look for a new manager as this one clearly isn't looking at these reviews or even looking at what is right on front ofthem at this location. What would speaking to a manager accomplish? Are they going to throw out everything on the buffet andhave new items cooked? No. Would they perhaps offer not to charge us (especially since the only thing we finished were ourdrinks? Every plate of food was sat to the side after trying a bite.) I feel better writing a review to share my experiences andlet other potential customers know what they may experience as well. We paid, we stated our unhappiness and we won'treturn. Now our trip is over I love to give credit to great restaurants. So here is our review on Shoney's we visited on August 3, 22... @18:40:48 I want to start out by saying our host was super nice lady I think I recall she may have been in management. I seenthe staff was short but our server Megan never let that slow her down she was great even had a suggestion for a small side as Iwas not as hungry as the family some places is like no buffet no food but she made me feel warm and welcoming. Great employeesand my family loved the food bar. Very great environment especially for a family. Keep up the great work and thankful for anyemployees that like to work and keep families happy. Food was ok. Normal buffet meal, but customer service was amazing. They did not have any strawberry shortcake on the bar. I... inquired about it and next thing you know Mrs Alexa brought out a whole plate of strawberries and whip cream. Amazing job andI?m leaving Shoney?s with my favorite dish in my belly and a smile. Call it nostalgia, I don't know. This place is amazing and our waitress was absolutely awesome. All of the Shoney's have closed... down where we live, so we figured we would stop for breakfast so the kids could experience what we did in the 90's. 50 dollars on 2 meals. Here's the grilled blackened chicken. Not very blackened. With a side of soggy onion ring slithers . We... didn't even take a bite of the onion rings . Yay. To top it off they didn't even give us our side salad. Don't waste your money. It sucks Read more
The 3 stars is for the great people who work there. Ate Breakfast with my daughter and it was about average? Not terrible or... great but definitely not worth the price on the check? I had seen a price from the Gatlinburg location on a menu photo on googlereviews. I thought it was $10.49 for adult breakfast bar and something like $5.49 for kids. I would go back for that price andfor the quality of food we got. Better than fast food but still just average. What I would not do is go back for the sameaverage food for the price paid. Myself a buffet (adult buffet) and my daughter (kids breakfast buffet) plus a fountain drinkcame out to $27. Add a tip and I?m over $30?. I don?t mind paying that for a good quality breakfast, but an average one not somuch. Read more
