I called to order take out, I ask for the number 22, lady asks me what I want in my chimichanga without giving me the options, I... say steak, she says ok is that all, I literally had to have her to ask someone about the other options for that order, twice. She sounded mad, and I had to have her tell me the total because she was just in a hurry to hang up, she tells me it'll be 19something, I can't remember exactly and that'll be 20 minutes. I show up in 15 to pay, and they're charging me 26 and somechange, and I argue that, that isn't what I was told, they said it's because I wanted steak, I wasn't told the options, I wasn'ttold it was an up charge. So I pay for it anyway because I don't send food back when people give me an attitude, I just don'ttrust people. Anyway, pay the extra, have to ask for utensils, get back to my room, and I've got a cold, soft tostada, coveredin the food around it. I won't go back, the food wasn't worth what I had to pay, and the awful experience with the staff. Read more
We are only in Pierre for a few days and one of the reasons I'm sad I'll be leaving soon is this place. Probably one of the most... delicious plates of Mexican food that I've had. The chips were good, salsa was good, the Pollo Fundido was amazing, and myhusband loves his dinner as well. Simply delicious all the way around, and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!! Came with family on a Sunday afternoon, it was very busy and the servers were excellent. Everyone was very nice and the food was... SO GOOD!! If you go to Pierre this is definitely the place to go!! I had the beef tostada and it was amazing, thank you for thiswonderful experience! 10/10 Read more

Excellent service (deserving of five-stars),but the food was very poor (deserving one-star), especially for someone like me from... the South, where Mexican food is much higher quality and more authentic. I was disappointed with South Dakota Mexicanfood--but, as I said, the people who work here are wonderful. If someone has never been South, they might like this restaurant. I'm just spoiled, I guess. Servers were helpful in seating our group of 11. Service was relatively quick with ordering and food service. Food itself was... pretty average for Mexican in SD. I ordered a Colorado burrito with verde sauce and rice & beans. Verde sauce was fine, butthin, and the pork was dry. Prices overall are decent. It's a fine place for lunch, but don't expect to be blown away by flavor. Read more
