2 stars for the service. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Online menu is not correct. My girlfriend didn't finish her... meal because the quality of meat was not very good and it was over seasoned. They did not charge us for her meal, which wasgenerous. I had a steak cheese tortellini dish that didn't have much flavor and the meat was like something left in a crockpotfor days. I read some other bad reviews and couldn't believe how unprofessional the owners response was. The place was deadwhen we were there at 630 on a Saturday night and I guess I can see why. My constructive criticism would be to change up themenu if the beef is going to be hard to get. I once heard this place was really good, but it looks like it went downhill a fewyears ago. Read more
One star is too generous....waited 15 minutes for drinks, and left after 45 minutes and no food and watching every table that... came in after us get served, we had had enough. Paid for salad and drinks and headed out the door. The send off we receivedfrom the unapologetic owner ensured we won't be back ... His exact words "whatever bro, just go". Although our steaks were delicious, (and it was Rally week) the service was about the worst anywhere. I fully understand the... demands on facilities being short staffed and under pressure, but assigning wait staff and the system used by Elk Creek wassimply inexcusable. When the party of two and the party of four that were seated AFTER our party of four, all were DONE eatingbefore we were served, that took the cake. Something in the SERVICE area is broken here. Walking into this place it looked dark and rundown but we figured the food would be good as I had checked images on maps. We... were greeted and seated fairly quickly. Our waiter got our drinks fast. We?ll that?s about all we got. We waited about 25minutes with our waiter walking back and forth greeting other tables helping around us. She finally came back about 30-35minutes in and told us that she completely forgot about us. At this point we had lost our appetite and didn?t want to proceed toeat there. Even though she forgot about us she still charged us for the drinks we didn?t even completely finish. She apologizedonce and walked away to assist the rest of her tables. I finally read through the comments and I?m sure the owner will find aresponse to this. But forgetting about your customer is completely unacceptable. I hope they train their employees better. First off I rarely give a 5 of 5 for anything so a 4 of 5 Stars is very high in my standards. The last time I visited Elk Creek... was probably 30 years ago when I lived in the area. My family is visiting the area and wanted a good steak and Elk Creek came tomy mind. Back 30 years ago I recall the restaurant being more formal type atmosphere than now however I prefer the current morerelaxed atmosphere. The key take away from tonight?s dinner is the food and service were very good. I will say the prices seema bit high but what doesn?t cost too much nowadays. The menu is limited however there?s certainly something for everyone onit. One recommendation is to call ahead to check on the hours and if you want something specific like say prime rib make surethey have it on that night?s menu. I will eat here again. Read more
We ordered the Tomahawk Surf & Turf. The steak was amazing. Tender & flavorful; best ribeye we?ve had in a restaurant.... Everything was packaged to stay warm in foil. It was a delicious meal! Read more
Seems any review left is met with ?this is why no one wants to work blah blah? so probably isn?t worth it however The poor... waitress did such an amazing job accommodating for the owners lack of ability to run a restaurant. The issues have been the sameat this steakhouse for the last 5 years. Only solution the owners see is raising prices insanely. Which don?t get me wrongnational shortages run crazy I see them at the restaurant I manage making price increases a must. But $15 for a plain dry baconcheese burger is aggressive to say the least. This establishment has been nothing short of a train wreck. Only redeeming qualityis they happen to find serves who are amazing. This place was a laughing stock when my friends had worked there 2 years ago. Washoping to see it changed. It didn?t. Also- maybe if the owners weren?t so ?professional? and actually did something to bettertheir restaurant it would be worth trying more than once every few years. As someone who runs a kitchen and manages staff at arestaurant it brings me great shock to see how the reviews are handled. It?s a shame to see such sensitivity in owners. I love the Elk Creek Steak House! The owner is a great cook, and his staff is always fun and personable. They are always busy... when we go there, but we always feel like the only people in there! The food is AMAZING & the company is always great! Theowner's girlfriend is AMAZING, too! Always comes to greet us and sit with us to chat. <3 Read more
