Reviews for Kandahar Kabab in Pickering, ON
Good Food. Vast space inside, great for big groups. We were a group of 50 and only took a small section of the... restaurant. Dine-in is mostly self-serve and there is a lack of organisation in terms of serving spoons, water jugs, etc. Foodis some of the best afghani food in the area with amazing unique sauces. Read more
We finally dined in at Kandahar Kabab last week on a Friday night. The place was busy with a lot of people on queue. We tried... the Chicken Shawarma plate, lamb chops and mango lassi. The shawarma plate was ready in minutes but the chops took their time. There were generous portions of rice and salad accompanying the meat. Also, every plate came with a naan which itself was big.The food was very good considering the high demand. Would definitely go back again. Read more
To be honest, the food here is okay, but a 40 minute wait JUST to PLACE your order is not. I feel like most people come for the... portions of food. And I'll be honest, the portions are massive, which is nice when you're trying to feed your whole family(which is what i see most people trying to do). But to wait 70 minutes to get your food IN STORE is kind of ridiculous. I wouldhave gotten the food faster on UberEats while waiting in line AT THE STORE. Read more
Food is very good and taste is consistent! Wish they had paper menus, very hard to figure out what to order on the big screen as... it keeps changing and some random brides image keeps popping up. Very spacious dinning area. Great location with plenty ofparking. Read more
Horrible! We placed an order for $75 and all of our food was burnt, hard, horrible. Called several times to speak to the... manager and was told she/he would call back but did not, despite making 5 calls to them. I would not recommend this place. Scarborough location is much better. We have been going there for years and have had maybe 2 bad experiences, whereas the aim ofpeople at this location seems to be to serve people burnt food. Save your money and stay away from Pickering Kandahar. Read more
Their lamb shank is super tender and tasty with kabli pulao. Chicken sardari and lamb chops are also very good. Their orange... sauce adds perfect taste to the meats. Staff is friendly and courteous. We had minor mix up with the order and staff handled itvery well. Very good ambiance especially for families. I?ll definitely come back again ???? Read more
I cannot believe I am rating this 2 out of 5. This is a easy 5 out 5 but drops to 2 due to just one reason. The staff is super... friendly, the vibe is very nice, the place is not compact, it's clean and modern, everything is top notch but the food. Don'tget me wrong, the food quantity is good and the prices are reasonable too, but the taste is just very bland. I just couldn'tbelieve how bland the taste of the food was, not tasty at all. Definitely not going there again. Read more
We walked into Kandahar Kebabs after grocery shopping, just opposite Memon Groceries and were hooked on it. The decor, friendly... service and great quality and quantity for very reasonable prices. We ordered Chicken & Beef Shawarmas, the best shawarma's weever had. To add they make the skin or rotis for the shawarmas right in front of you. And since the first time, we have ordered4 times from this location. And a big accolade goes to the staff there, specially Zoya. When we ordered it through Uber theyvery lovingly sent with a message on the bag. See the pic attached!???? Today we happened to order the naan along withshawarmas. The best naan, ate it on our way! Crispy on the edges and soft on the inside! Yummy? Pickering branch is better thanScarborough, where we had a sit in dinner. The Lamb chops lacked flavor and the naans were hard and small. Kandahar in Pickeringis worth a visit! Read more
