We only went to this restaurant once and never came back for good reasons. On our first visit here the waitress introduced... herself and got us drinks. Then, she took our order. I had her repeat it back to make sure she got it straight ( I do this atall restaurants). She returned 15 minutes later with my order close but not completely right, and my boyfriend\'s platecontained a completely different dish than what he ordered. He assumed she just mixed us up with another table and politely toldher the order was wrong. She then told him, \" Well believe me you\'ll like this one much better!\" We were so stunned andconfuesed that we didn\'t bother telling her my meal was entirely correct either. I\'ve NEVER in my life seen a waitress mix upan order, and then try to force the paying customer to just accept food they never ordered. Rather than cause a dramatic sceneby complaining to management, we just paid for the incorrect orders anyway and left never to return. I hope they train waitstaff better than this in the future. Delicious! Stopped here for dinner on my way back from Jocassee this past weekend. Good prices, good service. Recommend the... chicken soup with fresh lime juice in the winter time! Their salsa is good too :) Read more

Went there today for my bday weekend. Started off with the Bowl Dip it was greasy and unflavorful. My husband got a margarita... and it was very good but mine wad just margaritta mix so sour I couldnt drink it. He asked for a Enchiladas Verda with NOguacamole and they added guacomale.. I had the Quesadilla Judy with added bell peppers, the whole thing was nothing but bellpeppers pretty much, no flavor, and it was so soggy I couldnt even pick it up. The waitress barely showed up and when she didshe was never friendly and after seeing that I didnt eat my food, she just took it without asking and brought the $52 check njust stood their waiting, brought my husbands change back without a word n left! Worst experience I have ever had at arestraunt! Read more

We\'ve consistently had good meals at El Agave. It\'s not a big place but it\'s right on Main street in Pickens. During cooler... weather it is nice to sit outside at one of their two tables. We both ordered from the El Agave Specials on their menu. Thefirst picture is their homemade flan. Huge portion to be shared by two and no, we didn\'t do dessert first. The middlepicture is their La Superior dish. That is a burrito and a chili pepper which is actually a poblano. Both stuffed with groundbeef and topped with ranchero sauce and served with refried beans and rice. Very tasty. The last dish are their friedchimichangas served with sour cream, tomato and guacamole salad. The burritos were to be made with beef tips but these weremade el pastor (pork) in error and were fantastic. They do start you with chips and salsa but have a good selection ofappetizers. BTW the people working here are friendly and attentive. Read more
