The reason why they are my second favorite... is because for some reason Zipps doesn't understand the meaning of crispy or extra crispy! Nice place, just not a very appealing menu and overpriced. Menu's not changed in years and the portions are smaller yet more... expensive. The Vine has a much better menu! Since my first time at Zipp's I felt this way about the place. Not impressed! Read more
What was our first visit in years due to repeated poor service. I'm happy to say that our recent visit was much better. The only... thing keeping this from being a five-star is that our food came out one item at a time we did order appetizers so that wasn't areal big deal but they were short in the kitchen so food was coming out slowly. Actually had the manager cooking! As for theactual food everything was wonderful we had corn dogs the Philly cheese rolls the chicken rolls their chicken strips onion ringseverything was wonderful. I serve her was attentive and really nice I'm sorry that I can't recall her name she was really good.So we'll be back to ZIPPS! And if you're in the neighborhood and hungry for some tasty bar food maybe a beer or a drink giveZIPPS a try! We're thinking of going back to see if we can upgrade our review to five stars! Read more
I had a good time! We went as a large party and the service was great. 8pm to close Happy Hour drinks was exactly what I needed.... Our server really knew the menu and made suggestions and explained sizes. Our food didn't come out fast but our server made surewe had drinks while we waited! Servers have a large impact on the experience customers have in a restaurant and this place knowsthat! Read more
Just ehhh. Can?t go wrong with the wings but appetizers were gross & EXTREMELY greasy and beer tasted like there was soap or... cleaner in the glasses. Our server was a young guy and gave us mediocre service and was not very friendly at all (which is theeasiest thing to do.) Definitely recommend supporting a smaller local owned business like tukees or bleachers instead. Read more
I wish I could give this place a 2.5 stars. This is the second location we've been to and once again we're not impressed... whatsoever. The fries are very gross and have no flavor. We don't expect much, but we've been to quite a few sports bars withgreat food and great options. The food would definitely be only 2 stars as my veggie burger wasn't bad and my boyfriend said hiswings were pretty good. The customer service we received at this location from our server was 4 stars and she was verypersonable, was just a bit slow on drink refills and messed up our order but was quick to I have the kitchen make the correctorders on the fly. The kids pizza slice had some cheese thrown on top, not even melted, but my 5 year old didn't complain. Thereare quite a few TVs all around with different sports games as expected. The bathrooms seem to be at least mostly tidy. I did seea pool table and bar seating available. We probably will not be going back as the food was not that great. Read more
My waitress was amazing My Tacos were horrible They were dry tasteless and the shells were hard and old. The meat looked like... someone gave you the last bit of scraps I immediately sent those back. The chicken quesadilla?s tasted like the cheese was cheapgovernment cheese. My glass of ice water with lemon tasted like an old wash rag. I lived in AZ back in '08 and would go to the Zipps on Ray and McClintock at least 3 times a week. I was driving through town... from CA to TX and just had to stop for some wings and a burger. This pit stop did not disappoint. The wings were AMAZING asalways and the sweet jalapeño burger was great. It brought back great memories of my time living in AZ. I was happy to be ableto share this experience with my father and son. The service from Daniel was absolutely wonderful. Greatly recommend thisamazing establishment. Read more
