First off, let me just say this place is the reason I am vegan. ONE BITE. Convinced me that flavor, sustenance, and health are... beyond reachable in everyday meals. The employees are top notch kind and respectful. I ordered the chicken PHO, not only doesthe chicken look like chicken but it TASTES LIKE CHICKEN. I couldn?t believe that I could eat something so good and feel evenbetter knowing that no lives were harmed with my need to consume yummy meals. Seriously, this place deserves more recognition. We went on vacation to Arizona recently and Veggie Village was our favourite restaurant in Scottsdale! I?ve been vegan for over... 2 years now and I?ve never seen an Asian Fusion restaurant with so many amazing vegan options on the menu! I wanted to order oneof everything, but we got the summer rolls, vegan pho, and Singapore noodles and they were all amazing. Great portions,reasonable, and so so flavourful! Tried appetizers Roti Prata and Hakka tofu. Both were good and the sauces served with them. Wonton soup was good too. But... quantity is good for two. Kung pao is a bit hard and could go good. Read more
Ordered takeout through their website. Love the lettuce wrap. Try out the Tom Yam Fried rice for the first time. It was good but... would have prefer shredded cabbage instead of shredded lettuce and more mushroom. It has a sweet taste to it because of thepineapples in it. Love the food and service. First let me say my spouse and I have been patiently waiting for Veggie Village to offer dine in service again! We loved this... local neighborhood restaurant, but our experience yesterday was HORRIBLE! We ordered our favorite lettuce wraps! Yuck! Thesoy mixture with veggies was dripping in a sweet gelatinous sauce. Tasted solely of brown sugar and salt. Practically inedible. Ordered Mango Tea and that?s was impossible to drink. Tasted like a cup of mango syrup was poured over the tea. It was sosweet I returned it and asked for plain green green which was acceptable. The second item we ordered was curry and bread. Thecurry was thin and weak in flavor. The only redeeming item we ordered was the bread and it was a bit too greasy. Honestly wechose to eat at Veggie Village for a healthy meal and nothing was close to healthy. Way too much salt and sugar in the food! Regrettably we won?t be able to return - it was that bad.
