I would give 6 stars, if possible. Sue's Soul Food Heaven is by far the best soul food on the planet. I've been to many cities... and i like to try the soul food restaurants wherever i go. Sue is the best cook and it's not even close. The host, i believe hisname is Daniel, and his wife are outstanding. They treated us like family (the family that you like ????). Overall, visitingSue's Soul Food Heaven was the highlight of my trip to Phoenix, Arizona. P.S. You gotta have the peach cobbler. One reason Iwas eager to give this place a try in the first place was a review i read about how good the peach cobbler is. The review saidit was the best peach cobbler they ever had. I went here not know what to get but I ordered the oxtails with the yams, mac and cheese. the oxtails came with beans and rice,... a muffin peach cobbler and I got cool-aid. when I say this is the best soul food I've had in a while, I mean the best.everything was bussin. I highly recommend them 100% even the vibe at the restaurant the art was beautiful. it definitely gavelove in everything there. I didn't get to take any pictures because it was too good. Had the Cajun Chicken, Mac and cheese, red beans and rice, corn muffin and peach cobbler. Food was all amazing! Chicken was... delicious, Mac was perfectly seasoned, red beans had a nice little kick to them and the cobbler was phenomenal! And all for$20!? I'll be back for sure. Read more

I am glad I found this place. My 93 year old grandma wanted soul food and Sue came through. The oxtail is on the weekends so I... came on a perfect Sunday. I had the two meat with the smoked chicken and oxtail. My grandma had the ribs. Both meals came with ahomemade peach cobbler. I am picky about my oxtail and this was amazing. Fall of the bone delish. The ribs were nice too with noneed for bbq. Tasty spice on them. Chicken was spicy and not dry. Juicy chicken is always a win. Both of us had greens and yams.The yams were heaven. The service we had was how every place should be when you stop in to eat. My grandma left happy and I willdefinitely be back. Highly recommend if you like good home cooked soul food. Read more
Probably some of the best chicken I have had, the flavor was absolutely delicious! *I have to give a little back story in that I... grew up with not too crazy seasoned, "well done" boneless skinless chicken breast* I still prefer boneless skinless chickenbreast but occasionally will eat it bone in. That said, my option was skin on, leg and thigh. Long after the family was doneeating, I continued to pick every bit of that Cajun chicken off those bones and even stole some of the kids lemon pepperchicken! I had to give the back story because it is THAT GOOD! Really enjoyed the red beans and rice as well as they were madehow I like mine, with a hint of a little kick to them. One of the best places where you can have soul food. A local small joint in Phoenix, You can feel the soul in more places than... just the food.
