Had a great lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Loved the Bear. It was even better than I expected. Sitting out back on the patio... was ideal. Cozy space to chill, appreciate the weather, and enjoy some fantastic food. Finished it off with an orange pistachiodoughnut. Wow! Service could not have been better. Oh, and there were 33 of us in our group! Everyone raved about their shakes, too. Thanks so much to Kat and Brad for welcoming this mammoth bunch of hungry kids. They enjoyed playing pool and lounging withthe nice selection of games, too. I'll definitely return. Read more

Short Leash was very very very tasty, they had live music and there is a few walls dedicated to Fur Babies. I had the Poutine... and my Buddy had the Chili Dog and they were both just enough to feel like you ate but not feel stuffed, which would not be thecase if we got the French Fries because they looked huge. The only issue we had was finding the door??? The back patio was shutdown and no one came in or out while we were being curious monkeys, but we found the door and really had a great experience. Iwould like to take in a beer one evening on the back patio if I'm in Phoenix on a Friday or Saturday. Read more

WHO-da-THUNK hot dogs, real dogs, and craft donuts could go together so well? Certainly not me! Short Leash defies convention.... It?s an anomaly in need of no explanation. In a word? or three, uncommon, atypical and very unexpected. The hand crafted donutsare some of the most toothsome, ?road-less-traveled? treats I?ve ever eaten. Aside from the donuts, my go-to FAV is thecrispy dog breakfast: 2 spicy dogs wrapped in crunchy tortillas on a bed of scrambled eggs, tomatoes and avocado. Before youorder, know that this spicy dish is just as hot going IN as it is coming OUT, so, consider yourself warned. Weekend mornings arebest for a quiet and crowd-free cup of coffee, donut, or breakfast. Short Leash sits in an odd location on that curvy stretchof 7th Ave that intersects with Indian School Road. So, if you?re tooling down the road too fast, you may miss it. Pop in whenyou?re on the block and give ?em a try. And like me, you?ll wanna put Short Leash on your ?Short List? of TOP go-to eateries. Food is creative and delicious, and the patio is a wonderful place to sit when the weather is nice. They had live music that was... enjoyable and not too loud - we could still carry on a conversation. Parking wasn't great, but there were neighboring streets wewere comfortable parking on. Read more

I?ve been a huge fan since I found the food truck in about 2011, but this was my first time to the brick and mortar, and Short... Leash did not disappoint! The spot is an awesome vibe in itself, very family friendly with games and stuff. I had the Monika -all beef dogs wrapped in tortillas and bacon then fried ???? and a draft root beer. My kid had the chili dog, I had forgottenthey serve the dogs on naan bread. Both meals were amazing! The service was great and so was the price. I can?t wait to getback! Read more

Ok I am a chicago guy and my buddy wanted hot dogs. Tells me about this place, so I order the Chiago dog and he gets the pretzel... dog with cheese sauce and mustard. Honestly the first bite took me to sweet home Chicago, even though it comes in a pita! Thepretzle dog was awsome as well! When you are in the mood for a good dog stop on in with your own dogs as it is very dogfriendly! Read more

Wonderful hotdogs and donuts. My daughter and I ordered a couple brats, a donut, fries and a bananas foster shake. They were all... excellent. I'm going to have to go back to try other things on their menu. So many things look so good. Read more

Came in for breakfast on a quiet Saturday morning. Food was absolutely amazing! Ordered the Crispy Dog Breakfast and a black... coffee, took a little long for it to reach my table but it was definitely worth the wait. Two spicy-sweet sausages wrapped infried corn tortillas and covered in scrambled eggs, salsa, and a shockingly spicy dragon sauce. Never had anything quite likethis but I'll definitely be back to get it again. Read more
