I would have never heard of this place had a friend not mentioned it. My curiosity got the best of me and I had to try it. If... you like Ramen soup then this is the place for you. It is a small restaurant so space is limited. They also close at 230pm andreopen around 5pm. The environment is cozy, friendly service and quick service of food. Decided to try their chicken ramen soup... the one with curry flavor ???? and it was so flavorful for sure. I like curry and this curry was light so it didn't have astrong taste which I loved. Not to shabby when it comes to pricing but I feel that the serving size is on the smaller portions. When it's compared to Cherry Blossoms in which there is a difference in portion size. I like hearty portions versus having askinny soup. If you want extras or vegetables that is extra so be prepared to pay for that. Otherwise, not to bad for firsttimer to this place. The only downside is no refillable on drinks because its canned soda or water or sake drinks. I was sad tolearn that they didn't even serve iced tea. Happy dining and eating ???? Read more

I have been to Nishikawa several times now and every time I?ve had nothing but exceptional service and excellent food. I am... particularly pleased when I see Belle and Maya are working they are on top of it, my wife and I love them. It is the perfectplace to go to step out of your day to day rhythm, the house music and cartoons playing on the screen give it a chill vibe andto top it off the food and service is exceptional, and I?m picky. Definitely give it a try you will not regret it! Read more

Decent overall experience. Ramen was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. Atmosphere: 9/10. It's a very small... storefront, but well-decorated and clean. There were tables outside, but it was a bit hot for that so we had a window-sidehalf-booth that was just fine. It wasn't too noisy, and had some entertaining food network shows on in the background. Food:8/10. I had the tonkotsu ramen (I believe it shows the most technical ability, so it's what I always get when I visit a ramenplace for the first time), friend with me had the Nishikawa black. We both enjoyed our bowls, but I did feel the broth lackedthe richness and intensity that is the trademark of a good tonkotsu. However, the other elements were just right-- thesoft-boiled egg was tender with a runny yolk, and the chasu was falling apart. The broth wasn't overly oily, and I thought thenoodles were fine (although not the best I've had-- they weren't the perfectly chewy, bouncy ramen noodle I was expecting). However, for $15 per bowl, I think it was a decent value and I did finish my bowl entirely. Facilities: 8/10. Just one singlestall, which makes sense for the size of the restaurant. It was clean, but the lights were flickering in a slightly alarmingway, and there isn't a changing station. Place is clean, a little small, but not too crowded when I went. I ordered Takoyaki for appetizer and Nishikawa Black ramen with... soft boiled egg for entree. Takoyaki tastes like a regular takoyaki, I don?t see anything special to it, but it tastes decent. Ilike the portions, too. The ramen itself is well cooked. I wish they have an option for a different type of noodle or fortoppings. Their staff is friendly, place is clean, decent food. Can?t go wrong with coming here for a bowl of ramen. Read more

Probably the best ramen in Phoenix! I got the Nishikawa ramen that has black garlic. The mild had a tiny kick. Nishikawa Ramen... is a little oily, so only get it if you?re okay with that. The noodles are really thin, which are amazing. They do run out ofsoft boiled seasoned eggs so get them early! My fiancé got the classic Tonkotsu medium heat. Excellent as well. Highlyrecommend getting the gyoza. It has the crispiest bottom with tender meat, served with a yuzu sauce! This place is better thanthe ramen I?ve eaten in Washington DC! Pretty well matched to LA.
