Isa?s was the best ?New York style? pizza in Phoenix. Take it from me, I?m an expert. But now with new ownership, it?s quiet... awful. The pie was overcooked and crunchy. Perhaps the new owners are using cheaper ingredients and don?t have the passion orthe craft down. If this place is still going to call itself ?New York style? than they need to clarify ?Upstate New York HickTown Style? not NYC style. It?s uncanny how ?authentic? the pizza was in the past. And I hate using the word, ?authentic?. Justlook at this garbage new ownership is trying to pass off as good and legit. Look at that garbage crust. If I want mediocregarbage, I?ll just go to Barro?s, Venezia?s, or NYPD (New York Pizza Division). RIP Isa's! But my Family will rest easy. Welive in the city of Chris Bianco/Pizzeria Bianco. Very sad, Isa Pizza has been sold. New owners do not care about maintaining the quality of the pizza that was once phenomenal.... Recipe has changed, sauce and dough are now sub par. No longer authentic East Coast pizza, is now ordinary low budget pizza youcan get from any pizza shop in Phoenix. Been coming here for years, sadly today was the last time I eat at Isa pizza. Hate leaving bad reviews, but don't waste your hard earned money on this pizza. It gets worse every time I give it another... chance. Yesterday we ordered a large half pepperoni half sausage. Opened the box to get a slice and there was no cheese. Acouple months ago they were cheap on the pepperoni, 13 pieces on a large. For $26 a pie I'm going elsewhere. Management pleasetake control and train your pie makers, I s a frickin pizza. For $26, put the right amount of ingredients on it. Some advice tocustomers. Open the box right there and check your pizza. That's what I didn't do. Read more
This place was a fraud. The pizza was nothing even close to NY besides the shape. Way too much cheese, flour on the crust and... chewy crust. One slice was $3,50. What a waste of time. Read more

I used to eat at Isa?s all the time before becoming vegan. They had some of the best pizza in town. Needless to say i was... excited to see they now have vegan cheese. (no vegan meats tho.) I was a little concerned by some of the recent reviews sayingthere was new ownership and worse pizza, but we took a chance and ordered a pie with vegan cheese, mushrooms, onions andjalapeños. Sadly the only thing on the pizza with any flavor at all was the jalapeño. Weirdly totally flavorless pizza, likeeating a 3D printing of a pizza. i even salted a slice of pizza for the first time in my life and it still had no flavor. Thecrust was crunchy but absolutely flavorless somehow. Venezias is more expensive for a vegan pie but at least it tastes good. Ialways want to give restaurants props for having vegan options but this just wasn?t good, especially for $40 for a single pie.We each ate two slices because we were starving but the rest we?ll probably toss, which means we just spent $10 a slice on badpizza.
