Shared parking lot with some street parking available, as well as some paid lots in the area. Takes cash and card. There are... four- and two-top tables available as well as bar seating (yes, with beer and wine available). As soon as you walk in you'refeeling a little more Southern than you did a moment ago, with the motif reminding me of mom and pop restaurants back in GA andTN. You will be quickly greeted by one of the staff, who are all-smiles and accommodating. The menu isn't huge, as Gus' sticksto fried chicken and the usual fixings that come with it. So far, I've enjoyed the chicken (of course) alongside the Mac andcheese, beans, and slaw, and everything has been very good! As someone originally from the south and has had their fair shareof fried chicken, Gus' is definitely recommended both for the grub and the experience! Read more

Very nice and friendly staff...clean restaurant food was delicious. I took one star off because of personal preference for the... mac'n'cheese. I personally like oven-baked only mac'n'cheese. This would not stop me from coming back. The chicken was crunchyand juicy as well as the tenders. This is definitely a place worth trying. I will be back. Read more

Fell in love with Gus's in Atlanta, so ecstatic they finally opened here! And this location did not disappoint. The food is... exactly what you expect. Good southern cooking with a little kick in the chicken. Perfect sweet tea, not the oversweet stuffmust places peddle. But the best thing about our visit? Our amazing server, Floyd. He had such a kind, genuine soul. Service wasamazing, but really loved getting to chat with him and get to know such an amazing human. AZ needs more people like him. Read more

Let's just start off with, finally an Gus's Famous Fried Chicken in Downtown Phoenix. Connecting the dots to bring downtown back... and people coming here to enjoy everything again. I'm impressed with the setup and location and also being this is my firsttime trying it outside of the Memphis, TN area they did not disappoint. I ordered the 2 Piece White with an extra thigh, withthe baked beans and switch out the slaw for the Mac and cheese. Added a Sweet Potato Pie and chess pie. Make sure you come outand support this "Historical Blacked Owned" business. You won't be disappointed! Read more

While visiting phoenix, we stumbled across Gus world's famous fried chicken. It was not. My family and I drop by and you would... almost think that they weren't used to having guests, it was a stare down haha. We receded and it didn't take long to have ourorder taken because it wasn't a crowd. We ordered fried Green tomatoes, I can't front I thought they were delicious with theside of ranch. I ordered three wings, whole wings with a side of coleslaw and potato salad and that's what on top of a piece ofwhite bread that was kind of stale. My husband ordered four tenders, I cannot remember the sides, my sister ordered two piecedark meat with coleslaw and okra, my daughter ordered three piece tender with a side of macaroni and cheese and fries. My sonordered two piece white meat, his sides were macaroni and cheese and potato salad. Each meal was to come with either ranch orhoney mustard,They brought out two, we were, we were a party of 5. Requested more ranch was told that it would be 50 cents, itdies the young lady that we never received it. Lo and behold it was still on my receipt. It's cool not going to make a fussabout it, will pay the funky 50 cents and never return because it's not worth it anyway ??????????? Read more

This was my first time trying this place....what can you say??? NOTHING BAD, that's for sure! Staff was friendly and proud. Food... was incredible. Chicken arguably the juiciest fried chicken i have ever had. Perfectly crispy with just a touch of heat. Sideswere all very good as well. Potato salad is usually all mostly the same but this had some unique flavor. Food came out fast andas hot as possible, had to wait a few minutes to eat. Everyone in here seems very happy. Will return for sure Read more

So, the fried chicken (obviously) is fantastic. Like, really, really good. Each piece was perfectly cooked, the batter is... slightly sliced and makes you do that kind of annoying eye roll thing at whoever you're sitting with. The staff was attentive, borderline bored since it takes about 20-30 minutes per order, but we're all friendly. The sides are good too. Nothing to writehome about but who cares? One really weird thing, the side of fries is $6.50. While they're good, this is an absurd price. It'slike one potato worth of food. A potato at Trader Joe's is like, 69¢ or something. It's not like they're using some bizarreScandinavian spud that only grows in the graves of fallen clan chiefs or something. They're just hot and salty. I was absolutelygobsmacked. It's like they put that in the menu as a "don't order this, stupid." I wasn't upset, since I took the chance, but Ihad assumed that their "medium" was going to be like 5 Guys or something, sharable, for that price. Anyways, if they have aspecial, grab it, enjoy, and don't order those damn fries. Read more
