I?ve been wanting to visit Gil?s for awhile, and it did not disappoint. First off - this is one of the few restaurants in the... valley that won?t freeze their patrons by pumping their A/C. The dining room was a very comfortable temperature. 2nd - they havea small and cute dog friendly patio. The food was delicious, not too spicy - but the heat was still there. I had the red chilesmothered beef sopapilla - it was the perfect way to end my week. As a native New Mexican - this place is legit. We really wanted to eat there last Friday. I called to make sure they were open according to their posted times of operation as... we've gone in the past and they were not open. Started calling at 4 pm and quit at 5 pm. No answer, no message. Verydisappointed. Read more

I'm originally from California moved To Texas in 2001 where I met my wife who is originally from Espanola New Mexico. I love... California Mexican my not Tex-Mex. Went to New Mex best food. Wife passed missed those dishes found Girls. Excellent. Mmmmm.Went back recently and still excellent. Waiter is outstanding at his job makes your visit relaxing and enjoyable. Read more
If you're in Arizona, but need the authentic New Mexican food, Gil's is the absolute best. Friendly staff, and amazing food!
