Used to like this place. Good burgers. Today when I asked for a water cup I was given a plastic cup. I asked if I could have... a paper cup instead. The cashier obliged and added $2.95 to the bill. I explained that I only wanted water and I wasn't goingto pay $2.95 for a cup. She refunded the $2.95 and threw the paper cup in the trash. Unbelievable! Read more
Ordered pickup online. Spent 40.00 for 3 burgers and 1 fry. Worst burgers we ever ate. Bun burnt, bacon old and hard, sloppy put... together, lectuce welded. Burger over cooked also . This is a joke right? I keep looking around for the hidden cameras to catch my reaction, because surely I'm in candid camera. I... ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a kids cheeseburger for my young son and daughter. That with 3 small drinks was $45. That's anabsurd amount of money for the amount and quality of food we got. My burger was nothing to write home about. The kids barelytouched theirs. The fries were cold, soggy, and limp. I feel like the price of this meal was equivalent to feeding 5 GUYS at anyother place. Just spent nearly $70 for 4 burgers and fries. That alone is rediculous but what was infuriating to me was the quality of the... food for the money I just spent. $11 for a chesseburger that is literally soggy and crumpled up... soggy french fries and flatsoda. See pictures... Its nothing spectactular and is just about as good as other less expensive option like culvers, freddy's,or in and out. Only difference is the fries are soggy and the burger comes wrapped in foil, oh and you pay $70 for 4 people toeat. I wont spend money here ever again. I could have gone to a sit down nicer restaurant and spent $70 and had a much bettermeal. I guess I probably should have turned away after seeing the menu but i wanted so badly to give it a shot and see if it wasworth it.... well it wasnt, in fact i feel cheated... oh and to add insult to injury, we were charged $2.59 for self serve sodafountain drinks in paper cups... I know the cups cost them nothing and the soda is probably only worth $1 a cup. My first visit at Five Guys: Price. $30 for two people isn't bad, as long as the restaurant can deliver the value. Since the... red and white checkers make this restaurant look like a carbon-copy of In and Out Burger (a $2 burger), I got a little nervousabout the value. More on that later. Delivery. They served everything in a sturdy paper bag to hold the behemoth burgers andfries, upon which they add more fries on top of everything in your bag (at least double). And they provide these tinyDixie-sized fry cups. This is a nice psychological trick to provide more value when the fry cups could simply be big enough tohold all the fries they clearly want to give you. Food. The fries are something from heaven. Soft on the inside, crispy on theoutside, the perfect amount of salt, and freshly made (indicated by the potato sacks strewn about the store) so that you want tokeep eating. The burgers will not disappoint even the hungriest appetites. They are giant and delicious, although messy. Notideal for work lunches or dates. I personally think they could season the patties a bit more, but under- is better thanover-seasoned. Value. They are comparable to Fuddruckers in price and quantity, but not as good as Johnny Rocket's double baconcheeseburger. Five Guys does have the best chain fries (not created in a laboratory). In and Out Burger should take notes fromFive Guys about how to make fresh-cut fries taste right. Ambience. The red and white checkers reminds me of the widely-knownfast food chain In and Out Burger. Five Guys should rethink this design since they offer better-than-fast-food burgers. Thesacks of potatoes sitting around say, "Hey, were gritty, and we deal with large quantities. Ordered delivery. Order was completely wrong as well as outright missing shake and fries. Called location and talked to manager... who said they would refund it and it would show up in a week. Been two weeks and no refund. Never ordering online again. Read more
