I love this place. The sandwiches and desserts are wonderful. I have been eating here for over a decade and continue to enjoy... the small-town atmosphere along with the great meal offerings. I am concerned that Beth Goldwater - Bertha - has sold the cafeafter 17 years. What makes Bertha's unique was the feeling that I was eating in Beth's home; she would greet long-timecustomers with her patented smile and questions about the customer's day. And that same "family", non-chain treatment ofcustomers is reflected in the staff, who have been there for a long time and, so far, still are. Douglas, Sabdi, Allie,Claudia, David and the rest of the crew are wonderful, and welcome customers with friendliness and attention. The new ownersare making changes - to be expected - but they need to know that the staff, and the atmosphere that they create, are pure gold. You can't find that anywhere in the neighborhood. I hope that the new extended hours - into the evening and on Saturdays -doesn't result in the addition of disinterested staff and the treatment of customers like a chain does. Came in for a quick bite. They have a nice little outdoor seating area in addition to their indoor seating options. They have a... great wrap menu (I missed bfast, which they stop serving at 11am) and I got the Cobb wrap, which was filling and tasty. It comeswith a little mini cookie, too. So, a nice included "dessert". Service was courteous and quick and I appreciated that since thesoda offered is bottled they gave the option of a side of a cup of ice. Great find in the Arcadia area!
