So good! It took a while to finally get a reservation, but if you are in PHX, you need to try this place. Very small. Really,... really attentive service. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and seemed to enjoy working there. I will be goingback. Read more
Small restaurant, with good vives, the music is too loud, you can?t event talk with your table, we order the elote was a little... bit spicy, but really good. It has great decor and a nice atmosphere. They seem to be quite the busy little restaurant. There was an hour wait if we wanted... to sit inside. The other inside seating is booked out for a whole month. You can only reserve a table from one place online butunfortunately I haven't forgotten what that is. We were able to be seated outside and the wait was minor. The staff was not toon their toes and even though my friend ordered a large cup of ice water, we had to not only wait while, then remind them aboutit, but they kept just filling up the tiny glass they initially give you. Really great food all around. The halibut appetizer was a large portion and it was great having a cold dish with the hot... weather. The birria tostada was exceptionally dressed w great flavors and textures. And the meat was very tender and marinatedwell. The tres leches was a simple but refreshing dessert. They top it with fruit and the tartness goes very well with thecreamy flavor. It's a little pricey compared to other restaurant venues that offer more space and quicker seating, but thequality of the dishes stand strong to make it a fair price. If I could give this -100 stars I would. Just kidding this place is fabulous!! I don?t think I have ever had a meal where... EVERYTHING had such flavor. We had the Chatter Napa Cabage, Elote Espeical, Short Ribs, and Horchata Cuatro Leches. Make sureyou make a reservation because this place is small but definitely worth it. They do have inside bar and patio seating (it?sactually on the sidewalk) so no alcohol outside, though you are under adorable trees dressed up for the season. The great thingis the bar and patio seating is reserved for walk-ins so you still get a chance to dine here if you can?t get a reservation. Theowner/chef Rene was actually running food, picking up our empty plates and was very interactive! He was wonderful to talk to andwe had no idea who he was until we asked!
