Should change its name, this is a shadow of what Sweet Sues used to be. I had been going to sweet sues regularly for as far... back as I remember. It never disappointed. Pancakes as big as your plate but still absolutely delicious, I?ve never had any thatcame close. French toast far and beyond anything I?d ever had before, big and fluffy and one encrusted with pecans or hazelnuts.I was devastated when Sweet Sues closed. And was so excited to learn it had reopened. But I?m sorry to say, this isn?t SweetSues. The menu lost all its interesting pancake choices that they used to have paintings of on the walls. Lost its gluten freepancake option. The legendary French toast doesn?t even appear on the menu. The pancakes aren?t Sweet Sues quality. They?resmaller and just missing that extra something that set them above all others. Don?t get me wrong, it?s still a good pancake, butit?s not a legendary Sweet Sues pancake. Service was slow when I was there, it took just under an hour to get our food.Honestly that was a problem with the original Sweet Sues though, and I know it?s hard to get enough staff. Overall, if youhadn?t ever been to the old Sweet Sues, you?ll probably enjoy going here. They have good pancakes. Their eggs and potatoes lookgood. Their sandwiches are very small for the price, I would avoid them. But what bothers me is that the location is coastingoff of a pancake reputation that it bought, rather than earned. I hope this is just the start for the new Sweet Sues and itwill become more perfected over time. Read more

Okay y?all. Don?t drive through Phoenicia without a stop at Sweet Sue?s. My husband and I randomly stopped to just grab coffees.... Instead we decided to embrace some spontaneous vacation vibes-grabbed a seat outside and took our time. Was a limited menu, butwe were very content with what was available - especially the herbed potatoes and egg plate. Good coffee. Good food. Beautifulsetting. Worth a visit! Read more

Our first time to Sweet Sue?s and it did not disappoint. This latest culinary edition to Phoenicia is fantastic! A new/old... establishment beloved by many in the past; the current owner has done everything right. We went for the classic, and I hear, famous pancakes which were perfectly fluffy without being dry, clearly freshly made and so big I couldn?t finish. Sides of baconand chicken sausage added to the yum, and a wicked, muddled ginger + lemon mocktail completed the meal. We will definitely beback! Read more

Cute and quaint with outdoor seating as well. The specialty teas are amazing! I am not sure if this is accurate but there is a... floor manager or maybe owner or owners son that is all over the place. Tried to chat my wife and I up explaining the manychanges made over the years. Honestly that had zero to do with my lunch or my review. Just wanted to make a note that maybe heshouldn't be customer facing. The curly hair n sandals w Brooklyn bro vibe was unkempt and unprofessional. My meal was thebrisket sandwich. Tasted great and smelled so good cooking..was a great pairing with the garlic curly fries. All well untillater that night. I spent the rest of my day with burping and heinous noxious smells escaping my mouth. I wish that was theleast of my issues. My only meal was this that day. I spent my afternoon and night miserable. My advice....eat with caution. Read more

I came in for breakfast on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. I ordered a cappuccino that was too strong for me but I added milk... to it and it got better. I ordered The Hog Johnson which was HUGE. The bacon was not crispy and I ordered side crispy baconwhich they made to perfection. My boyfriend ordered the brisket skillet and it wasn?t his favorite because it was a kinda dry. Itried it too and it was not that great. We didn?t try the famous Pancakes but next time we will. Overall, our waitress wasattentive but our food took like half an hour to come out and it was not packed at the time. It was a cute spot nonetheless. Read more
