Hip, cozy cafe serving a wide variety of coffee and cocktails with a tight selection of local beers, wine, and food. The... atmosphere feels like home with a long bar and a few tables in the back. They?ve got a stack of board games and reliable WiFifor entertainment. We dropped by on a Saturday afternoon and found it to be a quiet, convenient retreat for coffee, drinks,and/or conversation. The food menu isn?t expansive, but we had to give it a shot. They focus on comfort food fried chicken andpancakes and a grilled cheese and tomato soup pairing. The menu is printing on the chalkboard so I?m assuming it rotatesseasonally. We went with the kale Caesar salad with fried chicken. I?d definitely reiterate what others have said...you?ve gotto try the fried chicken! Great spot for a quieter, intimate outing or to grab a cup of whatever you?re craving and get somework done! Missed my bus and got stranded in the area. Came across great reviews of this place while searching for nearby bars. Gotta say... the reviews were right, it's a five star worthy. The owners and bartenders were friendly, down-to-earth dudes. The spot has awarm vibe and the music isn't too loud so it's easy to have a conversation with new people, or keep to yourself and write /read. There's even a bunch of board games stacked near the bar to play. (And major bonus: it was so clean!! Even the bathroom. This is the perfect marriage of great food and amazing service. You usually get one or the other when dining out. It's... refreshing to find that here. The owners, chef, and servers are super friendly and down to earth. I am eager to try more on themenu. You must try the fried chicken sandwich!!!! You'll have a difficult time finding a better one. The bartenders are excellent. They seem just as happy to make classic cocktails or to come up with novel based on some limited... input. If Pizza Gutt is making pies in the back you can't go wrong. Read more

Well thought out menus and fresh ingredients from local farms. Unpretentious quaint, comfy environment and friendly staff.... Great to bring friends who are health conscious, vegan or vegetarians. What a great new find! An interesting mix of locally grown vegetables and ingredients prepared in innovative and attractive... dishes. The cold tomato soup served with cucumbers was excellent. Exciting salad with many greens and exotic additions. Lovedthe mushrooms and slaw. The bread was terrific. Tempeh was creatively prepared with vegetables and spices. Whole grain bread wasdelicious. Totally unexpected spot on Spring Garden. Came to catch up with a friend, and the bar was taken over with a poetry workshop. We... felt like we crashed/got to listen in on over a few beers. Great vibe and good energy for a lowbrow/unassuming artsy venue. Read more
