Reviews for Trio BYOB & Trio2Go in Philadelphia, PA
We're visiting from NY and wanted lunch at a spot close to the Art Museum. Trio was a great decision. Ive been to many thai... spots and this one is in my top 3. The samosa appetizer was very delicious and that peanut sauce on the side elevated it toanother level. In the picture is the drunken noodles with beef (level 4 spicy) and also steak w/potatoes. Both were insanelydelicious. The staff is also very friendly. Highly recommend this place. Read more
Best peach cobbler ever, last evening. Super shrimp special. Always great service in lovely atmosphere & location.
Underrated Thai place, just because of the location! Generous portions, great flavor, nice staff, and our food was ready for... pickup within 15 minutes. Read more
This place is seriously underrated as both a star restaurant in the neighborhood as well as one of the best Thai places in the... city. Look at this masterpiece! Delicious, fresh flavors, high quality ingredients, and just gorgeous presentation. Love ithere. Read more
Warning: NOT vegan friendly at all! Just had the worst experience here with my party despite calling ahead and confirming vegan... items were available instead was embarrassed having to deal with two teenage new wait staff with zero knowledge of the menu anda chef that doesn't speak English and all of which acted like we were aliens to even request clean wholesome food. It was a20min struggle to identify what could be prepared without animal contamination and it ended up being just 3-4 entrees after muchback and forth. I confirmed 4 entrees were chosen yet were only served 3.. the cherry on top was that eventually we noticed thekitchen was being cleaned and closed as they forgot to finish serving our order... that's beyond incompetence. After endlessmishaps the waitstaff apologized for the hundredth time now except now for completely forgetting the additional orders whileeveryone's else meal was ruined in the freezing cold restaurant which has a lock on the thermostat.. I think that's how theysell you on hot beverages not sure because you will need tea to be warm in there. They don't have a bathroom and instead directyou to the main building bathroom which is much nicer. Tables weren't cleaned and there was no condiment trays. Even after allthis they made sure to add every last expense to the bill with 0 consideration of how bad a job they did when we could have justleft 5 different times throughout! When given a tip at counter they ignorantly placed the change back on the table notunderstanding what a tip is.. All-in-all very unprofessional and not a place to take a group if you want a reasonableexperience. Needs new management desperately. Restaurants that don't understand dietary preferences and allergies and can'teven keep patrons warm shouldn't be in business in my opinion. The entire point of eating out instead of cooking if for thebetter experience and convenience. Read more
The freshest and best Thai food in the city hands down!
This place is difficult to review because the food is good and we have had consistently good meals when ordering delivery, which... is why I am giving it three stars. Unfortunately the experience in the actual restaurant is quite terrible and I would notrecommend physically going there. First, when we arrived to a totally empty restaurant (minus one couple dining) we were askedif we have a reservation. When we said "no" I was met with a "oh no...well, let me check.....". Then after a few minutes we wereseated at a terrible table right in the way it the door (mind you it is snowing and cold at this time). We asked for a highchair for my daughter and we got one -the belt was completely broken (buckles missing, just tied together). We asked to adifferent chair, obviously. Then we were given different menus - I was interested in the skirt steak, by my husband's menulisted a strip steak. We asked which menu was correct - server said, "they're the same, we just have one type of steak" which isweird (these are obviously different types if cut). Now I realize that this is not a steak House, so I was not expecting to beamazed, but after I ordered I was told that neither one of the steaks was actually available but a different one for $2 more wasavailable which is exactly the same but has a different sauce. Fine, I just want some red meat today, so I go for it. Theydidn't even ask "how would you like it cooked?" And it came out cold but "well done". The rest of the food was good.Unfortunately the service continued to suck. Dishes were just left piled up on the very small table, waters were not refilled, had to literally wave over to the two servers (who were on their phones and not coming by either of the two tables, seepictures) to ask for some water. The whole time it felt like we were a nuisance and interrupting text time. Oh, and none of theother tables ever got anyone seated in them so I really don't know why we weren't just seated in a normal location, and ri Read more
Where do I begin with this place. This is the best Thai restaurant in the city! Tevin is the best waiter I?ve ever had-nice,... attentive, sweet & unbelievably friendly. The food was so amazing. Literally everything was so delicious. I kept taking biteseven after I knew I was full. I couldn?t help it! I feel like I?ve never eaten food this good before. The deserts were evenbetter than they?re appetizers & entrees. Most deserts are made in house by one of the owners, Mike, who may be one of the bestdesert chefs in the city! & the other owner, Van Chau, may be the nicest person in the world. If you want amazing food & to bearound great people I highly recommend this place. Read more
