The room was nice. However, the hand held shower didn't work and there's a rust stain around the grip bar in the tub shower. I... didn't use the bathrobe but it looked nice (it was not there the last time I stayed in another room at the Westin). The watercup leaked when I poured water into it. Bed was soft and comfortable. Great midtown location. The restaurant is inexplicably small with lousy food, so it's a good thing that there's plenty of... alternatives nearby. This hotel is still suffering from the Marriott lack of service due to covid syndrome. I figured out aftertwo days of no room cleaning that you have to go ask for it. Many Marriott branded hotels took this cost cutting route duringcovid, but that excuse should be over by now. Read more

As a Bonvoy Marriott member I was able to reserve a room on the mobile app at the last minute and complete check-in prior to... arriving at the hotel. I received a text that my room was ready by the time my plane landed in Philly. My credit card wascharged $100 deposit for 1 night. All I had to do when I arrived was pick up my keys from the front desk. I arrived around 1amand the gentleman at the front desk had my keys ready for me. Being an elite member I wish I could have received a free upgradebut I understand this is based on availability. The hotel offers complimetary Starbucks coffee in the lobby during breakfast. What I love about this place in addition to the accommodations is the location! The hotel is in the same building as the mall. You can easily access the Westin entrance from inside the mall with your room key. There are several museums, thr rockystatue, and other landmarks in walking distance.  The hotel is nice, but i would love to see some upgrades in the future. Suchas new carpet in the rooms; replace old tables in the room instead of patching it up with tape. There were two free bottles ofwater in the room ulon arrival. The beds were super comfy and clean. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful withrestaurant recommendations. Self Parking - $54 and valet parking - $65 is a little pricey. I enjoyed my stay and will return inthe future. We had our wedding block, Friday Welcome, and Sunday Brunch at The Westin Philadelphia, and it was a perfect home base for our... wedding weekend. My now husband and I (and our dog) stayed in a presidential suite and it was BEAUTIFUL! There was a snack andsparkling water set up to welcome us, and the front desk sent up a doggie bed, a placemat for our dog?s water/food bowls, anddoggie bags. We were so impressed with the level of service our beloved pup received. The Westin even allowed us to bring ourdog to the Friday and Sunday events! Our Friday Welcome and Sunday Brunch were held in the Georgian Room which was an upgrade. If I were making the selection again, I would easily choose the Georgian Room and pay the additional cost. The Georgian Room hasbeautiful deco, large windows, and was just the most lovely atmosphere to host guests for our events. The food was outstanding, but it was the level of service that really put the events over the top. All of the servers were so kind, attentive, andprofessional. It was a level of service that is rare to find and really stood out. Everyone who worked at The Westin waswonderful. When we checked in, the front desk had all our wedding details to share with our guests including our church, shuttle, and reception locations and times. Sydne, my contact at The Westin, was so helpful and responsive throughout theplanning process and made everything feel very seamless. Sydne offered to keep the hotel bar/restaurant (The Lea) open late onSaturday for guests when they returned from our reception. It was great to be able to have a low-key after party right in thehotel where many guests were staying. Once again, the bartenders were excellent! You can?t beat the location of The Westin. TheRittenhouse Square neighborhood is so charming and there is access to many shops and restaurants. We got married at St.Patrick?s which is a short walk from The Westin and we did family group photos in Rittenhouse Square Park which was b Read more

The pet policy is that you cannot leave your dog alone in the room at all, ever, not even for a second. Not even to go get... dinner. I?m sure they think they have a good reason for this, but it is completely unrealistic and unreasonable to ask a guestto agree to that. Had to cancel my reservation and head back home disappointed. Just say you don?t allow pets! Makes more sense. Read more

We arrived and were granted an early check in after driving all night so that was a plus. Staff brought towels and TP when we... called right away. Staff very friendly and accommodating. It was noisy (outside) people singing LOUDLY with a microphone in thecourtyard early in the AM on a weekend. We were woken up by guests in the hotel fighting and what sounded like throwing thingsat 2am, hotel staff responded quickly to it once notified of it. Dirty towel (visibly) hanging in the bathroom behind the doorwhen we arrived. I always wipe surfaces of the room down with Lysol, that too was surprisingly dirty. Old coffee pod left inkureg, loved that they had real creamer for the coffee. Bed was very comfortable. Read more

You know how it is. You fly in from out of town. You are tired. Weary. You just want to check in and get to your room as fast as... possible. Don't feel like talking too much. This was me on Sunday night when I strolled in to the Westin Philadelphia. But thenI met the front desk lady, Rachel. She was bubbly and fun and super sweet. She set me up in very nice room on a high floor. WhenI came back down to printout a few things for work, she set me up and even brought me a bottle of water - unrequested! This is agreat hotel with a wonderful staff. I love staying here. Read more

Worst staying ever. I arrived after a 20 hour travel from Europe and went straight to my bed. In the morning when I woke up I... realized that the shower did not work (no water) the toilet was dirty, the safe did not work, there was no coffee despite thepresence of a coffee machine. I signaled that to the desk and went to take my breakfast. They assured me that the shower wasrepaired. I went thus to take my much-wanted shower: the water was cold. I took it all the same since I really needed it, but Ihad to wait till the afternoon to have a warm shower. The safe was also repaired. I then asked to change the room since therewere the fans of the near mall that woke me up at 6 in the morning (but I did not realize it the first morning, too tired). Soif you want to sleep till after 6AM avoid rooms with odd numbers. The lobby proposed as compensation to give me 10000 points, which I have no use of, or a complimentary breakfast, which I already had since I was taking part in an event that offered it.No other kind of compensation was offered to me. I travel a lot and I never experienced such a bad service from a hotel of sucha category (or supposed so). And here I do not even speak about the fact that room service was not done because of COVID: that Ican understand; the rest I cannot. Never again Westin Philadelphia. ----- POST-REVIEW EDIT----- For completeness I have to saythat after my review I was contacted by the hotel and they reimbursed me the first night of my stay.
