I ate food from here once before and it was good so I made sure next time I was around that neighborhood I would go there again ... and let me say it did not disappoint.. the chicken was juicy/crispy.. Every time I call they either are sold out of something or closing early due to being sold out (I?m talking over an hour early).... This is ridiculous who runs a business where they never keep enough inventory for their business and customers? And closes overan hour early?? Terrible. I had a taste for soul food tonight & this place didn?t disappoint. I ordered the fried whiting platter, w/ mac and cheese, and... string beans. The platter came with three large pieces of whiting, and could easily feed 2+ ppl. The fish was fresh, the mac andcheese is better than most places in the city. Hubby discovered this place one afternoon he was hungry and wanted something different and also wasn't in our area. Today was... my second time having this food it was OK! The yams had less cinnamon than my first time, which made them taste better to me.Mac was good and so was the rice. Two pieces of fish makes this meal more than enough. I was full before I go to the 2nd pieceso I'll have something to eat later. I am giving four stars because I wasn't moaning with each bite like I do when I have greatfood. Read more
The food is horrible. The rice was filled with butter. Salmon was not cooked fully (raw) and sour. Mac & cheese was sour. Green... had too too much salt. I will never return. Whom ever owns this place should be ashamed. This is not SOUL food!!! Read more
