Reviews for Ramen Bar in Philadelphia, PA
My food was cool just didn't like the fact that I handed the server money and she decided to slide it back instead of handing it... to me. When I ask why she straight up said she didn't want to touch me. Sad I won't be returning Read more
The best rice i?ve ever had. If there was a national rice index where i could rate it, i?d give it a 20/10. The cooks are really... skilled and all the food is quite tasty. Thank you for cooking dinner! Read more
Ramen 1.5/5 Chahan 1/5 Asahi beer 5/5 :) Total bill was about $43 for 3 items before tip. Sorry, I have to give a 2/5 because... its definitely not selling Japanese quality to the neighborhood. No problem with the servers tho Apologies on pic, its myleftovers (i didnt want to take it home) Read more
Not many restaurants are open past 8pm in this area, so I was glad to see this come up in my search! Tried the chicken katsu... udon noodle bowl and shu Mai appetizer. While I liked both of the dishes, I felt like it was pricy for simple dishes. Read more
The restaurant has a very cute, trendy vibe with an intimate dining room. Btw, parking can be a challenge but if you luck up &... get a parking spot directly outside the restaurant on Lancaster Avenue, it's free. The ramen...WOW! I had every intention oftaking some home but nope...ate every last bit there! As a pescaterian, majority of the ramen dishes had pork broth BUT therewas about 3-4 chicken/vegetable/shrimp ramen bowls. Since I had the Vegetable Miso Ramen on my 1st visit (highly recommend!), Itried the Green Curry Ramen and this dish too measured up! There's a full bar and I definitely want to return to try theirsushi which I hear is great too. Ishmael was a great server! The only reason I'm giving Ramen Bar a 4 instead of 5 stars isbecause I asked for a little hot sauce to add to my ramen and the young lady gave me Bakudan which was delish but an additional$3 and didn't even advise beforehand (total pet peeve of mine)! I never heard of an additional charge for hot sauce and even so,generally a condiment charge is only $1-2; $3 is pretty steep. But go figures because if you add shrimp to the Vegetable MisoRamen it's an additional $7. I guess they don't care about making things reasonable even though the restaurant is located onDrexel's campus. Also it would be nice if Ramen Bar's Happy Hour pricing returned like it had pre-pandemic (the HH menu is stillon the restaurant's IG page). Read more
The food and drinks were awesome! I would come back there. The service was awesome. We orderd Japanese fried rice, spicy... chicken miso Ramen, and miso Ramen. The ambience of the restaurant was great. I also like there was a full bar in the restaurantwith top shelf liquor. Read more
Our meals were delicious, the service was super friendly (and gave us some tips on how not to struggle with chopsticks ????),... and the ambiance was boisterous and jovial! Great happy hour specials (though we didn't partake); I'll definitely be returningin the future Read more
Kind of surprised to see dry Raman here. Overall taste good, it is a little bit salty though.
