It took me a very long time to find a good quality taco in my last town. When I finally did, that taco was being served out of a... humble truck parked in front of a dingy gas station where down-on-their luck folks would linger and pick cigarette butts out oftrash cans. Took about 30 mins to drive there, and I was happy to do it. Now, having just moved to Point Breeze, I find PhillyTacos at an unreasonably convenient 400 feet from my door. It's adorably decorated with happy-looking plants and a fun luchadormask collection hanging on the cheery azure walls. Sadly, I didn't have the opportunity to dine in this time around, but itseems like a nice family-run environment. I had no complaints about the quick & friendly service. I was in the Philly are and wanted to eat some authentic tacos we came up with this from Google recommendations and I would say... it was a win. We had to order to go because they were not allowing for indoor eating, the food was delicious, fresh andflavorful and the staff was friendly and helpful. Might be the best al pastor tacos I've ever had! Free beer was a bonus. The owner is very sweet.
Nice spot at the Spruce Street Harbor Park! I went during the weekday, pre-happy hour time. Me and my husband walked right up... without a line and ordered the al pastor tacos. Super delicious! Right amount of spice for those who like it. Next time we go,we'll have to ask if they sell their sauces. ???? Read more
The staff were so friendly, warm and welcoming, you could just tell they take a lot of pride in their food. We opted for a light... option with a zucchini blossom taco in addition to their signature al pastor. The tortillas had a nice flavor and chew but thefillings were the star, by far some the best pork you will find, tender and juicy. I had never tried a zucchini blossom tacobefore, I was impressed by how much flavor they got into them though. The toppings were all fresh and played their parts wellbut I could always go for more pineapple. Generous amount of filling to tortilla and it came together in a marvelous mariachimasterpiece that would keep the fiesta going all night. I would happily make this my regular taco joint. Read more
