Had a wonderful time while dining with a friend. Honestly haven’t been much of a raw seafood person, but i can confidently say... i now love oysters, the grilled octopus my friend got was incredible and i would eat a lobster roll from here everyday if icould afford it. *HIGHLY RECOMMEND* 5 stars just for oysters If you’re craving oysters, this is the place for you! Out of the few places in... Philly that I’ve had oysters, I have to say Oyster House has the best. Half the place is bar seating where you can see thechefs shuck the fresh oysters in front of you. They clean the oysters really well, barely any sand/dirt left. The best part isthe $2 oysters during happy hours. My friends and I can each eat a whole dozen by ourselves because it’s that good!! I lovethe vinegar it comes with! And if you like spice, I highly recommend asking for hot sauce, it’s a game changer! Besidesoysters, they have other seafood/platters but they’re pricey. Their mussels and scallops are decent, but not sure if it’sworth the price. I think I’ll just stick to their oysters at this place! *VERDICT* Definitely would come again during happyhour whenever I’m craving oysters!! Read more
Everything here was delicious! The lobster roll looks small but is actually quite full of lobster and the taste is really simple... and focused on the lobster. We had the happy hour oysters and also some clams--so good! The only thing we wouldn't recommendas much is the clam chowder--it was just okay and not that full of clams. Read more
My husband loves oysters so we came here for their happy hour. They've got $2 oysters, $7 rum punch and $4 beers. There are also... some shrimp sliders on the menu, but we didn't get them. We loved the food! Read more
Simply put, the best oysters I have ever eaten. I’ve had Wellfleet, Naked Cowboy, and Mystics before, but never this fresh and... expertly shucked. Bright, clean, and accompanied by only the essentials (lemon, cocktail, mignonette), this was an unforgettablemeal. The New England chowder, arugula salad, and lemon meringue tart were outstanding as well. Even the conversation aboutChicago bike infrastructure with my cycling enthusiast server was a pleasure. Some of the best oysters I’ve ever eaten! I had to place a 2nd order they were that good! Their food was delicious and service... was great. However, their oysters stole the show. Will definitely make another trip into the city just for those amazingly freshoysters! Read more
