Reviews for Milk House in Philadelphia, PA
So I stopped by here on my way to work since I had a few extra minutes and there was only 1 person there...with 3 people... actively working and even still it took over 15 minutes to get my food. The food was mistaken and placed in the same order bagas the woman in front of me. Then they were confused and started remaking the items for some strange reason. we stopped them andof course This took even longer, the manager gave us food vouchers but I wont be back. Not only was my sandwich alreadysolidified, but my bag was dirty and had some wet green ice cream residue on it.. Its annoying that a plain grilled cheese wasso time consuming in the end. Read more
The service was fast and friendly! The ice cream itself was nothing special, very forgettable. However this location is super... convenient if you're ever craving ice cream! Read more
Great food and very nice employees! Best ice cream you can get from a transportation terminal, creamy mac and cheese, great... sandwiches, and sometimes they have a wheel you can spin to get free stuff! My first option when I have an extra couple dollarson me! Read more
This rating is bumped up one because of it's dominance over the lesser options surrounding it. Great grilled cheese, but pricy... for the size. The staff are generally amusing and engaging too. I've yet to find a great meal option, as it is usually out ofhunger and desperation that I go. But, that's fine Read more
The staff is very congenial. This was my first time ordering food from them. I only ordered french fries. They were made very... quickly and I got many more french fries than I expected! It's always nice to get more then what you think you're paying for. Many of them were overcooked and hard and crunchy. I don't know if the oil was too hot or they just left them in too long werethey recooked stuff that was already cooked once before. It's not going to stop me from going back because they have lots ofother things on the menu I've never tried before. Read more
Ordered "the philly cheesesteak", "Garlic parm hand cut fries" and the grilled pound cake... The meat on this "cheesesteak" was... disgusting for one, the cheese was just alright I tasted no carmelized onions on this either and that whats supposed to be onit! The garlic parm fries were cold (albeit I got it delivered) and the tasted a lot like normal salted fries I didnt tastegarlic or parmesan on these.. and the amount you get for $4.25 is crazy.. Lastly the grilled pound cake I received wasn't evengrilled like it showed in the pictures when I ordered! I received 2 slices for a whopping $4!! This is supposed to be servedwith ice cream but since I was having it delivered I asked for an extra slice or 2 of cake since I didn't want the ice creammelting.. Overall I wouldn't waste your money coming here the food was below average to me.. I'll have to try the milkshakes orsomething else but the food? Nah don't bother.. Read more
I had a butternut squash soup at Smith's next door last year, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. It was the best soup I had... ever had. Earlier this week, while in the neighborhood of 19th and Chestnut, I stopped by Smith's to see if they had thebutternut squash soup. I was informed they didn't, and they didn't know if they would have it at all this year. I was verydisappointed, but sat down for dinner and a beer anyway. While eating, and employee of the Milk House next door must have heardme ask about the soup, and he brings me a whole quart of it on the house. That made my day, and I have been enjoying it fordinner every night since! It's the exact same soup, and it didn't disappoint! I will be going to the Milk House with my friendnext week for my birthday. Great soup, and great employees! Read more
It was a good sandwich and tots. I got the gluten free bread on the cheesesteak sandwich and they had a totally separate section... to cook it in and had a dedicated frier. Really good. Read more
