Reviews for Little Fish BYOB in Philadelphia, PA
I probably have not been to Little Fish in nearly 10 years and boy what I've been missing! Although the space is small and... rudimentary with the kitchen in clear view, the vibe is inviting from the moment you walk in the door. The food itself isexcellent and the menu is comprised of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd courses. For our party of four, the advice was to order 4-6 from the1stand 2nd courses and an entree for each person. Our faves from the night were the oysters (so clean and flavorful!), scalloptoast (a long-standing crowd favorite), the seared scallops (can't recall what was in the sauce but it was addictive), alongwith the halibut and bronzino entrees. But honestly, I have a feeling you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Little Fishserves the highest quality seafood in creative and amazingly tasty ways. The space is v small so be sure to book ahead. Read more
I so, so, so wanted to love this place. Truly. I’m sad to say that the food was good but not mind blowing; and the service was... just abysmally slow. It took twenty minutes to just order, then an hour and twenty after that to get the main dishes. This wouldall be fine if they didn’t want us to kick us out less than an hour after we got our mains. They didn’t ask us once how thefood was during the two hours+ that we sat there until they were giving us signs that we should leave. For such a small, intimate place I expected the service to be impeccable. The only good thing I can say is that this place is byob but even thenit was $200+ after tax and tip. Read more
Fabulous dinner, nice staff. I have been meaning to try this place forever, and so glad I did. Everyone's fish was cooked (and... presented) perfectly. Waitstaff were friendly, charming but not intrusive. Will definitely go back. Read more
Everything was perfect. It is BYOB, and the place only has about 6 - 7 tables. We had 3 small plates, including the scallops... and tuna. The portions are small, so we then had the branzino entree and finished with the dessert, which was Tres Leches. Itwas wonderful. Read more
Seriously a phenomenal restaurant. It's so rare that a restaurant compromises quantity of diners to focus on the quality of the... food and experience. The food was elegant and the place didn't even have a drip of pretentiousness. Not only was everythingprepared perfectly, but the options were diverse enough and delicious. Usually hate BYOB, but it worked so well here; the foodwas the star of the night. This was my best dining experience in Philly in 5 years. I can't think of a single complaint. Onesimple way to understand this place: half of it IS the kitchen. It's just you, 3-4 other tables, and the kitchen all sharingthe space. I think that says a lot. Read more
Wow! One of the best meal we've had in a long time. Elegant and delicious. May have been the single best bite of crab I've ever... had and the scallop toast was also so, so good. Tiny place with great service and amazing food. Prix fixe menu was a littlepricey but worth every cent. Bring a nice bottle of wine! Highly recommended!!! Read more
This Sunday tasting menu is not only affordable but insanely and surprisingly knockout good. I was prepared to order everything... on the menu but didn’t realize that Sunday was a 4 course meal. They gave me just the right amount of food. Read more
Dinner was incredibly delectable, and the service was outstanding! I can't remember the last time I had fish that was so tasty... and fresh tasting. personnel that go above and above in their commitment to serve and accommodate guests in every way they can.Because of the excellent treatment we received from our server, we will be back to this restaurant in a very short amount oftime. It would mean a lot to me if you could take the time to recognize my appreciation. Read more
