Reviews for Le Mandingue African Restaurant in Philadelphia, PA
The service was unprofessional and the people were rude to me. I used Le Mandingue for catering and they took advantage by... changing the pricing the day of the event. One of the owners was hostile with me on the phone while I was trying to come to aconsensus. As a business owner your customer should never be going back and forth with you over a mistake that you made. Iunderstand that people make mistakes but nothing was done to mitigate the situation. In the future I will never give my money tothis business or recommend them to my colleagues, friends, and family. As a West African you want to support your people andblack owned businesses and then they betray you!! DO BETTER LE MANDINGUE!! If I could give you no stars I would! Read more
Love love their food, but their customer service is very poor. Will have you standing there waiting to order , answering the... phone in your face , no greeting or anything. Straight attitude, all the whole your giving them your money. Read more
I came here a few times food was off the chain. Today looked and tasted like dog food, rice was soggy and tasteless, long wait... even tho I preordered and the food is precooked, rice was soggy. For an alternative since they didn’t have what I wanted, ordered it a specific way cashier says she can’t do that. Just wow. It’s a never again for me. Waste of &14 I’ll got toEmma’s next time. This restaurant used to be one of my favorite place to get Some authentic African food - with my experience today I am just... completely disappointed with the quality of the food and services. No adequate staffing/cook which resulted to employees simplyoverworking and simply demotivated. If you don’t care about losing customers, fine! you just lost one. Read more
When it comes to the food they are GREAT!!!! Depends who’s coking sometimes the achekeh is a hit or miss. BUT THE CUSTOMER... SERVICE IS JUST HORRIBLE! I literally drive an hour away to get there and I regret it every time solely on the customer service. You can call an hour ahead and your order WILL NOT be ready and will have to reorder and wait 20-30 minutes, the person at thefront is ALWAYS RUDE! They will allow people to walk in and talk over you (has happened to me and friends multiple times) andbegin to engage with them as of your invisible. My friends and I have started going less often solely on the experience. Don’tlike going to a place where I always get upset, and feel like I am not welcomed . Trust me A LOT of people feels that way evenif isn’t voiced. I don’t care how great the food is, if The atmosphere isn’t welcoming it isn’t for me. It doesn’tmatter because management will NEVER DO ANYTHING TO CHANGE IT Read more
We ordered via Uber Eats & had a great experience. We got jollof rice with lamb, jollof rice with Goat, monie callama (rice... porridge) and kallah (donuts). All the food is served in generous portions, enough for a whole family. Each jollof rice isserved with spice and fried onions. Everything was hot and delicious! Service was quick. Would definitely recommend. Read more
The food was surprisingly good. Juicy plantain, spicy goat meat, and the portions are truly generous. Parking is always a... challenge but it's well worth the hassle. Read more
So I just out of here on my lunch break I eat here often. I don’t know what’s going on with them the last time I got lamb... and rice it mostly bones. This time I’m trying to figure out where is the rest of my lamb. I’ve been coming here for yearsand now they lost a customer because of this last plate. When I went to tell the cashier she said that’s how it comes. I guessI gotta find a new African spot because I will not be getting cheated out of money. Read more
