I?ve been following the owner for years now and when I found out she settled in Philadelphia, since then, I?ve traveled... countless times from New York just to have a taste of THIS Dominican food and I?ve got to say it?s absolutely amazing. Veryauthentic, flavor is delicious, customer service is super friendly and welcoming. The drinks are refreshing and are made CRISPdaily, the atmosphere is cozy and a great space just to vibe. Summer time dinning in has AC and it?s on BLAST making theatmosphere comfortable. If you?re looking for great authentic Dominican cuisine in Philadelphia I?d recommend KAKU. Read more

First time trying Kaku and I'll definitely be back. All of the staff was so nice and friendly. They chatted with me, gave me... juice samples, and most importantly served me hot and fresh delicious food. I loved the blood sausage, fish (bacalao), rice andbeans, octopus salad and chicken empanada. Everything was great and I left the store in a better mood than when I came in. Willbe back soon!
