Jumbo is my go to for authentic Jamaican food. The jerk chicken, yams and mac are my favorites. Jumbo is only one of two... Jamaican restaurants where the mac n cheese tastes great imo. We bought four platters from here on Friday and it wasn't too good atall. The goat was bitter as in burnt, the jerk chicken... needed flavoring and it wasn't real jerk chicken and the platters were all very light in weight. The lady who took my order and made the food had an attitude. Very bad costumer service. She hardly wanted to speak when I spoke... to her. I got pepper steak, rice and peas and cabbage. The pepper steak was very dry. The rice was bland and dry. Thecabbage.... shouldn't be on the menu. I never had cabbage that bland and overcooked. I also got jerk chicken. Nothing specialabout it at all. At least it was edible. Overall this place is a no go. Save your money. You can't have a bad attitude AND badfood. The food from Jumbo's today was horrible . It's usually delicious. They mac n cheese and yams I decided to try it has no... flavor it's just nasty. Won't buy that again. The cabbage was hard and it crunchy and rice and beans was dry!! Won't order fromhere no more!!! Read more
