If you are looking for a 3 out of 5 star dinner, then this is the place to go. Everything I tried was somewhat unique, but... overall just okay. At the price point they are charging, you are likely going to have a better meal eating elsewhere. Read more

Helm BYOB is an experience. It started off a little frustrating since making a reservation was near impossible (they’re open... Wednesdays but the online reservation said they weren’t…their website said they were..the staff said the manager would callme back..three phone calls later…) which was ultimately very frustrating since there was only one table in the restaurant forthe rest of the evening with us. Helm is a smidge better than average and a BYOB which is the cherry on top (why the 4, not 3stars). A $55 per person price fixed menu, but with a catch. You get to pick from their 5 selections of appetizers, entrees, desserts, and for a nominal amount more, sides. Their menu board requires a full read out from your server since onlyingredients are listed. Unique pairings and elevated flavors, for sure. So for the food highlights - Fried tomato with mozz inchipotle pepper sauce: UH YUM. Hopefully this will always be on their menu. The sauce is to die for. Green beans with shishitopeppers in pork belly: AVOID. While the green beans are crispyish, they are by nature soft. So you’d think you’d get crispypork belly. No. You don’t. It’s veryyyy soft, almost all fat, and a texture almost no one wants. Mains- Bronzino with squidand cauliflower: MUST GET. The skin was perfectly crispy. The sauce was amazing and all over everything. Just get it. Salmonwith potatoes and tomatoes: incredibly underwhelming. Don’t bother here. Desserts- Butterscotch pear: GET. One of the smallerdesserts, great flavor and well balanced. Masa cake with peanut butter and chocolate: DONT. this is the only dessert withchocolate. There was not enough chocolate to cake and the cake itself was on the dryer side. Corn ice cream sandwich with figjam: Get…sorta. The sandwich is a take on oatmeal cookies, but it’s SO dense with wayyyyy too much cookie to ice cream ratio(see photo). The corn ice cream with fig jam though. That was clutch. Also, this dessert is MASSIVE. Sides- Brussel sprouts inre Read more

One of the best restaurants in Philadelphia! It's a whole family vibe, staff is really kind and menu is pretty unique. I learned... they are getting most of the ingredients from local farms - probably that's what makes the main difference, compared to otherrestaurants. Would like to come back! :) Read more

Low key but adorable spot - like your trendy friend's home for a dinner party. They have a $45 3 course dinner (very good deal)... and you can select from rotating options for each course. Everything we had was fresh, unique, and flavorful! Perfect for a datenight. Read more

We had such a great time here. Everything was amazing and they give you so much food! For $45 per person, I don’t even think I... can get all the ingredients for that price and make the food myself. Lamb legs, pork, humbolt fog cheese, heirloom tomatoes.. sogood! Service was great too. Food came out super quick. Don’t forget they’re BYOB so bring a nice bottle of wine! Read more
