Incredible food and a wonderful DIY BBQ experience. We visited while in town for a concert because they listed Takoyaki (fried... octopus fritters) and beef tongue, both of which we’ve been aching to try. Wow just wow the food, drinks and service here is amazing just go. Our server was so awesome he even explained everything to us... they were constantly bussing the tables keeping it clean and clutter free and service was fast and great. The food speaks foritself. Read more
I think they’re under new management. Garlic fried rice and garlic mushrooms doesn’t mean you need to include a whole... loosely chopped up head of garlic. I am a true fans of Gyukaku back in California and Texas, so when I moved here I was so excited they are here! Try to came here... for my daughter’s birthday they said reservations only, understandable even though they are not even 1/3 full. Front of therestaurant so messy. The person was so cold, arogan, so not welcoming. However we love it so much before, so try to go again,making reservation this time. When I came they can’t find my name, I showed them the email confirmation and got sitted. Havinga hard time with my phone connection for the menu, politely asking if they have paper menu and I showed them how our phonewon’t connected, and they firmly said no menu. Finally we got it, and the waitress came back saying only regular menu, nohappy hours, no specials. In their website (specifically this location) offered these and the only place doesn’t offered. Mindyou the way they told us very impolitely, no apology very rude. And then I saw 2 tables down got a paper menu. Ordered garlicnoodles, bibimbap, and over 10 plates of meats. We need more meat and again having a hard time accessing their menu, trying topolitely asked for the paper menu, again super rude replies no paper menu. My friend starts to get irritated. And the wait foradditional meat are really long, we ask nicely why is it taking so long? the waitress replied “I am sorry?” the tone is veryrude, the kitchen is busy! In between first and second order we literally stop eating for about 15mins. They changed the grillonly once, and it was looked like rusty or oily dirty yellowish. Asked to change it, they changed it and again no apologyoffered. in the middle of eating their ventilation under the grill just fell on my feet, Good thing I wore boots. Always so good! Love doing something different and we’ve always left full and satisfied! Highly recommend getting the preset... courses they offer to get an understanding of what you like, it’s a great sampling of a bunch of stuff! You can never go wrongwith the Harami in Secret Pot or the Bistro Hanger Steak! Already planning our next visit! Read more
This place NEVER fails to deliver. I just love the concept of cooking in the middle of the table, and it's so FRESH! I love all... of their options, you have to try everything at least once...the flavors are truly authentic Japanese. Great cocktails, strongtoo! It's a great date night or get together spot.
